I'm setting up this new unit. First step is to wire to phone line and connect power supply. After doing this I lifted the phone to check for a dial tone. That part was fine, but on hanging up, it does not break phone connection and I soon get the "If you want to make a call, please hang up" message from the phone company. Only way to cut connection is to unplug phone wire from the phone jack. Can this unit be saved?
ive had this printer in storage for a while and want to use it again. problem is that i dont know what parts to use. i really only need it for the printer right now and i have the ubp hooked up. do i need to connect the phone line to use the printer?
There is usually more than one phone plug one for the hand set if yours has this and one for the phone line. And one for something else possibly another phone. Make sure you are plugged into the right one. Then you will have to program it with your phone number and set settings to your taste or need. This can help you to clear up your problem. I did the same thing on mine. Play with it alittle bit and you will get the hang of it.

I have a lexmark X4270 printer/fax machine. I replaced the black ink cartridge but the machine says "Black Cartridge Missing. I've tried reinstalling the old one and I get the same message. I tried cleaning them with a Q-tip, Turning the power off and on. I still get the same message, What do I do next?
