Ensure that there is signal in the line.

Try using a different phone cables.

Try unplugging all phone cables and power cords, and plug them back after ten minutes.

Ensure that the phone are built and sold in the same country where you are using them, phones designed for a different country won't recognize the line signal.

If you subscribe to DSL service for this telephone line, DSL filters must be plugged into EVERY phone jack that has a phone. The DSL signal can cause static/noise, squealing (similar to fax tones), caller ID disruption and other issues on your line. DSL filters block the high frequency DSL signals from being transmitted to the telephone. If you are not using the DSL filters provided by the telephone company, this will cause static/noise and possibly caller id issues on your phones.
In most cases, we recommend you connect the plug end of the DSL filter into the telephone jack, then connect a telephone cord between the filter and your phone.
Please contact your service provider to obtain DSL filters and installation information.

You may have a line problem. To test for a line problem, test your unit at another location. If your unit works at another location, contact your local telephone company

Could be a problem with the charger plates and/or contacts and hence your phone is dying out quickly. I would check that first. If that is the problem, then simply buying new batteries would not help as they are not getting recharged.

Hi,

Initially, a couple of ideas to start with:

  • check the battery, battery terminals, battery wiring. In most cases, it would require that the terminals, pins be cleaned sometimes scrape. Pls ensure that there are no dirt, grime or greenish substance anywhere. Any corrosion would prevent the full potential of the battery to supply the handheld;
  • check if the channel/frequency used could be changed to another. It is possible that a neighbor is using a similar device on the same frequency;
  • since these units operate on radio frequency, they are susceptible to radio interference (RFI) and anything electrical/electronic could produce such intereference. Examples are electronic lamp dimmers, WiFi network devices of computers, some new garage door openers, satellite receivers;
  • additionally, you may want to check the location of the base. Since they operate on radio frequency anything in between the base and the handheld would reduce signal strength.
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information. Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

When receiving calls on my triple cd445 cordless phone it would ring once or twice and then cut off.How can i solve this problem

Unplug them all overnight, phone jack and power bases. Plus any other phone line devices, faxes etc. Plug the base unit and get someone to phone you. Then plug each unit in one at a time with a phone call in between. One of the units may be exceeding the REN number of units on your home phone line with all the devices you have.

If that doesn't pin point it, contact your phone service provider as you may have line problems including bad connections to the house itself. All your wires sit in boxes outside..

EL52500 Phone base & 4 handsets have static, message Line in Use. Bought new phone, charged, connected - it says no line. Have dial tone at phone line into house.

Sounds like your phone has a short. If you see the message "line in use" call your number, is it busy, now unplug your phone and call your number again, is it ringing? Indicates a short, possibly in your equipment. As for message " no line" is the electric connected to the phone and did you check for dial tone in tat particular jack with a known, working phone first...just to make sure there's dt @ the jack. Good Luck :)

I have a Uniden dect6.0 cordless phone, when I plug it into my phone jack ,the screen reads check phone line. So we have replaced the phone line with another brand new cord.Same thing. Can not get a dial...

When the "check phone line" message appears, it is referring to telephone service and not the wire. It appears that your phone jack is "dead" or that there is no working service in the home. Do you have another phone that you can use to check the jack? Is there another jack that you can plug the phone into for a test?

I have a Lucent model 103H. I no longer get a dial tone when I push the line buttons. I only get static. I replaced the two AAA batteries yet I can still not dial out or receive incoming calls. Do you have...

hmmm .. the lucent 103h is called a "partner 5 slot (carrier) chassis for partner internal phone systems .... used in business usually for multiple phones... unless you have a home phone by that same name .. if you do have a "partner" system then lucent repairs those for about $65 ... check the line before considering repair ... if you have a single standard phone that just happens to have the same name .. then you may have a damaged telephone line .. you can test that by unplugging this phone and temproarily plugging in another .. if it works then there is likely damage to your original phone .. usually its lightning surge protectors that fail (due to a nearby llightning hit) ...if a second phone doesnt work then there is usually a service jack near where the phone line comes into the house .. you can plug in there .. if the phone is bad there also then its an outside maintainence repair job .. thats free from the telephone company .. if the test phone works at that test jack then its often your responsibility to arrange inside line repair .. unless you have an inside line repair contract the telephone company may charge for inside repairs .... your phone company can talk you thru using the service jack .. you would first disconnect the rest of the house by removing a connector from the service jack then you would plug in a standard phone to that jack .. that makes sure the problem is either inside or outside .. if your phone happens to be chordless then there is more things to consider .. the handset and base have to develop a relationship in order to work properly ... that relationship can be lost in a power failure and must be reestablished .. usually thats done by removing power from the base for a minute then connecting it again .. so there are a lot of possibilities depending on what type phone you have ...

Two phones in use with Motorola VT1005 result in very low volume

disconnect the POTS line incoming to your home on the outside of your house. This will make the phone wiring within the house a standalone network. Plug the Line 1 jack of your TA into any available phone jack and the remaining jacks in the house will be energized. This will create the same environment as you had with POTS.

Line cut off problem

That is a common problem with this model, normally happens after a storm passes through. Unfortunately there is no easy fix for on site, it would need to be sent in for repair or replaced. You can google Siemens Cordless Repair to find service facilities.
