Re: epson EMP-51

Clean all filter carefully and apply a good room of space around it-and do not block the intake air ventilation with any object.and test your projector.

My Epson TW 700 suddenly went black, and the fan startet to go very fast.I could also see the red light ( temp. Indicator? ) coming on.Tried to cut the power, cleaned the filter and start it again, but...

Don't cut power to a projector when you power down. The fan has to run after the projector is powered down so that the lamp can cool evenly. If you unplug or if there is a power failure the lamp will develop cracks around the edges of the reflector and will fail quickly. If the fan is not moving air through the projector, it will overheat and shut down.

Why does my epson emp 700 projector cut off after ten mins even when the fans are working

These models of projectors form Epson have a standby which the projector enters when it no longer senses video input. The fans will continue to run because they are cooling down the lamp which remains hot for a few minutes after it turns off.
This could be a problem with your computer, or dvd player, or whatever device you are using for your movies. Check to make sure these are working properly. Check to make sure that your dvd player or computer is still outputing video to the projector.
If this does not fix your problem, then the problem could lie with the projector itself. The projector fans may not be properly cooling the lamp, in which case the projector will turn off the lamp to ensure the projector is not damaged. To fix this, you could check if the fan outlets on the projector have become clogged with dust. If they have, definitely clean them out with compressed air.
Hope this helps.

The projector does not seem very bright it has done 1200 hours is it the bulb or something else

Most likely the bulb, although it could be the power supply or lamp ballast. Most regular bulbs are rated for between 1500 - 2000 hours. They tend get dimmer as they age, but some will stay bright until they blow. Using low intensity/Eco mode, being sure air flow/ventilation is clear and open, and allowing the machine to go through the cool down process before shutting it off will all extend the bulb life. If you put the machine in the high output mode and the intensity improves, the it's probably the bulb.

The cooling fan stop working on my Epson EMP 700 Multimedia Projector, can I get a replacement part and replace it myself?

The temperature indicator is red.
The projector is overheating, which turns the lamp off
automatically. Let the projector cool for a few minutes,
then turn it back on. Make sure nothing is blocking the
ventilation vents.
If the projector continues to overheat after you clean the air
filter, the problem may be caused by damage to the cooling
fan or internal circuits. Contact a qualified service person.
¨ Warning: Do not attempt to service this product yourself except
as specifically explained in this User's Guide.

Epson Emp-x5e temperature light flashing

The temp light flashes due to internal temperatures being too high...this is most often caused by a clogged dust filter--clean the filter often--I clean mine once a week! Excessive heat causes all internal components to age prematurely--lamp, circuits, and lcd panels, Just be aware though...your projector is now considered "end of life" and a newer model has replaced it.
