Question about George Foreman GR44BWVT Indoor Grill

3 Answers

Grill died I have the double-sided grill with clear bun-warmer pockets on top. After about 18 mo of excellent use it suddenly died. No heat - no led lights etc. Wa able to open up the compartment n bottom with safety hex screws. PC board in there so couldn't do much more. Since both sides went out I had thought it was a power cord issue. Maybe the power to the PC board. Looking for repair depot in the toronto Canada area. Or where coul I get that board - probably should do te trick. The only thing beyond it is the 4 heating elements: Top, bottom - left, right. I'm sure they didn't all go out at once.

Left the Grill in Stand-by mode and when I returned to it found it to be dead. This is the second grill of the same model that has done this

  • richie05 Jan 20, 2009

I contacted the repair centre in the UK. Salton Europe Ltd. The advised a fault with the circuit board and recommended sending it to them in Manchester to see if they could repair it.
i'll post if it was successful.

I have the same George Foreman Grill, Model # GR44BWVT with the same problem DEAD. The power board is not the problem, I replaced the thermal fuse found next to one of the heating elements covered by a white sleeve. Hope this helps you.

Contact these guys; http://www.esalton.com/control/contactus and they should be able to give you a repair centre list - i think you are right about the board - if you can post again with the board number we can try to source it seperately Hope this helps :)

Grill outage

I'm not sure what you mean by the Grill side. All the information I see for the SCE30600 shows a rather normal over with 4 burner stovetop, but nothing I would call a grill. Can you explain in more detail, or is it possible you chose the wrong model?

My dacor microwave convection oven won't turn or heat but but the exhaust, time etc. works.

I found the answer on other posts on this website and it saved me $500! I had the same problem with my Dacor Model ECD2278 double oven. After I ran the self cleaning the top oven would not come on and the lower oven ran almost double the temp that was set. To fix: disconnect power to the oven at the circuit breaker. Open the oven door. You'll see the grille/grate/steel cover in front of the door latch mechanism, and it should have about 4 screws holding it in place. Remove the screws then remove the grille cover. On my model the tiny red reset button was on the right side on top of a black plastic round piece which is about 1" in diameter. Press the little button down til it clicks.

Hi Guys I have a Stoves 720EF Double Oven and Grill. Whilst halfway through cooking some sausages on the grill this evening, the grill suddenly stopped working (plus the LED for the grill knob showing...

If the element and the indicator light both stopped working this suggests a problem with the power supply for the grill control. Either the grill control has no power going to it or it is faulty and requires replacement. If you are not sure what you are doing you'd better get a tech. to look at it, it can be fairly complicated for the untrained person.

Stoves 720 EF Electric Double Oven Model No 059040415 -when you turn the grill knob there is no light and it doesn't do anything at all - the grill is not working. However, the element must be working as...

First things first. The oven element is totally separate to the grill element. The clock has to have a time set for either the top or bottom oven to work, whereas the grill will work without the clock being set.
The control knob for the top oven is the ONLY control that will turn the top oven lights on, the grill does not turn the lights on. ( If you want to watch your toast, you have to turn the top oven switch on to the first setting as well as operating the grill control).
To prevent the grill being operated with the door shut, there is a micro-switch on the door hinge that allows the grill to operate ONLY when the door is down. The grill control also does not illuminate unless the door is down. There are two options on the grill control - right or left. One way is the inner element only and the other is both inner and outer ones.
So if you have done all that and it still doesn't work, then the micro-switch could be faulty.
Best of luck

Grill is not working

Hello,
Is The small amount of heat you are getting coming from the bottom element in the top oven or is half the top Grill element working. To start with you have a double grill element and either the whole element has gone or just half the element. This is controlled by a selector switch which could be at fault or the Thermostat that controls the temperature.

Hope this helps.

Need old West Bend Serving Oven -bun warmer- directions

I have one of those that I got as a wedding gift from my parents in 1975. They were popular then. My mother had always come out with nicely warmed buns, but when my wife and I tried to use ours, our buns were soggy--from too much water, I guess. You have to use it on top of the stove, not in the oven. Try putting in about a half-inch of water and put in the middle piece. If it floats, then you have too much water. Put the buns inside, place the lid on, and put it on low heat for 2-3 minutes. You can regulate how soft or crisp the bun would be by opening the steam vent for more crispy bread, or closing it for it to be more moist. You can experiment with it, but yes, you DO need to use it on TOP of the stove.~ Barry

How do I stop my hot dogs from looking bag coming from my steamer

not really discolor, does it looks like came out of water?
if so, that is because the steamer works. Steamer is cooking the food via water vapor and heat. For the dogs to looks like dog, you need to "dry out" the skin. pan fry, BBQ, grill, or any other metod you can to dry out the skin, then it should start to look like a dog.
