You need to enable the mic control in the audio ouput properties (not input but output) in control panel

How do you use the microphone on the webcam without using the headset? i dont know how to activate the mic part of the camera

Hi Good day!!!

if your cam has a built in mic that should work fine. Try this: Click start lower left on your desk top, then click control panel then double click sounds and audio devices. Click audio tab ensure your speakers and mic are the default devices do the same with the voice tab. If not change them and click o.k. You can also check your equipment while you are there. Also click actions top line of the messenger window, scroll down and run voice setup.

Front panel Mic not working when connected to Mother Board

Yeah, sounds like the case wasn't designed for that board. Just carefully double check the pins in the manual for the board. If you don't have the manual, check the asus site.

Microphone is not working

check in the control panel --> system ->device manager-->sound devices, that your sound devices dont have a ! on them. If it has one then you need to install drivers for it.

Run the hardware mic wizard in the control panel under sounds/auido devices

Also very common is bad mic. Buy new mic.
