My blackberry RIM is suspended--PLS HELP ME

Dear all, i am belle from Indonesia.. I imported large number of Blackberry curve 8310 (AT&T), But I have problem here, all those phones can only work as cell phone, without internet connection. We already try to register with our local operator, but they said the phones are suspended by RIM. when i tried to register the imei to phone provider, it always says this:
Your account has been suspended. Please contact the system administrator.
And sometimes when I entered other IMEI, it says "PLEASE CHECK YOUR PIN AND IMEI. THE INFORMATION YOU ENTERED IS INCORRECT . Are they really locked and suspended by RIM, are they stolen phones? or maybe our supplier haven't pay to AT&T?? I can't contact my supplier now, i think he's just avoiding me. how sad.. can anyone help me? Is there any division or person that I can contact? Is there any solution for us? i really need help here..
thank u for your help..i really appriciate it..

  • carmenzlove Nov 05, 2008

    hi ceilu

the operator is indosat, they welcome all blackberry from outside. I mean as long as we use their service, they will configure it for us..

all the units can be use as normal phones without internet..but who wants to buy BB without internet connection? :(

so i really need to fix it..

by the way, is it the PIN problem? i mean do we need to refresh the PIN from at&t???

    thanks

  • carmenzlove Nov 05, 2008

so i imported these units from my friend in the US..but i guess he cheated me..

i think it might be stollen phones or something. units he couldn't sale in US.and i can't contacted him..he's been missing for weaks..

  • carmenzlove Nov 16, 2008

    hmmm..

i've done some searching ..trying to get information from everywhere..and it seems our problem can't be solved :(

i've contacted RIM comp..and we have to wait until RIM releasing the PIN..which will automatically unsuspend our phones..

but, they will have to do it batch per batch..and they're not sure when they can release it..

so hmm just consider it's helpless..

i tried with other resources too..and most of them give the same answer..

so now i sell all units with half price..just to enlight my burden..coz i have too many units :(((

But, whoever has different opinion, please help me...

    kinda desperate here !!!!

    Hi
I have 8830 Sprint - bought off-the shelf in USA. Now I am no longer in USA & wanted to activate BES with my Telco. However when I tried to register at www.telco.blackberry.com, I git a pop-up that the device is regd with a diff service provider.
As mine is a new phone - unused, I prompty went to sprint.blackberry.com and tried my PIN/ESN. I got a pop-up that this device is Not yet regd & I should activate it before proceeding with next steps else I will have Limited BES functionality.
So now How do I get my PIN de-regd from Sprint as they have no customer ever using my 8830?
    Pl advise
    Thanks

@Carmenzlove, does the operator that you are trying to use with or any other operator offer blackberry service?

if they provide then i suggest you find some person in management (not on helpline) and ask them to help you use your units.

how many units do you have??

by the way you can use voice...this means that your blackberry are not locked by network (THIS IS A GREAT NEWS FOR YOU)...Please understand that BB is not like an ordinary PDA which you can confifure yourself to browse internet. it needs configuration and implementation from operators side. I am myself in telecom sector. Reply to my post and i will try to see what you can do..

Belle, you said that the phones can be used as a cell phone. I understand from it that you can make calls (voice indicates calls). Since your only problem is internet and you can use it as a phone this means that atleast your phones are not network locked. which would have been another seperate problem.

Now which sets do you have? only one operator offer Blackberry or are there other operator as well. Can you please share with me the name of your operator so that I can browse their website. I want to see whether they have an open policy or a closed one. (I mean whether they force you to use the blackberry handset that they provide you or whether they welcome anyone with any blackberry set and configure it and just start charging for the services.)

  • ceilu Nov 05, 2008

    Belle,

I dont know about the PIN problom and i am sure it is not your problem. Now let us talk about only one BB handset out of the 150 that you have.

What happens when you ask your operator to configure one blackberry handset to use with BIS (blackberry internet service). your operator must tell you the reason for failure? what is the reason? why cant they help you? do they show their inability and tell you to do something?

I am sorry if i am causing trouble with this sort of communcation. Thanks

  • ceilu Nov 05, 2008

sorry to reply late. I got busy in a meeting. Where do you try to enter IMEI? which operator tell you to contact system admin? do you mean helpline operator or something else....Anyways if your operator has open policy about the sets that come from outside then the solution of all your problems is with your operator.

Also note that you dont need system administrator for BIS (blackberry internet service)...you need it when you are using blackberry on BES (blackberry enterprise solution) which is mainly for corporate clients. I think you are trying to connect to BES and failing and hence are unable to connect. Please browse internet for the difference in BIS and BES if you already dont know and then ask your operator to configure BIS on one blackberry handset. My reccomendations, keep it for your personal use. You will be able to communicate with my on BBIM (blackberry instent messenger) directly if you want to. When the problem is solved for one set then you will automatically know what to do with the rest of 149 sets. Dont tell the operator about 150 sets because they might fear a competition (because they prefer to sell their own blackberry device rather than have people use their own). in this case they might even try to cause technical problems (although it is very unlikely). so you just ask them to fix ONE blackberry for your personal use. And when you will come to know that it can work then you can sell it in open market without any fear. remember it is the headache of the client that purchase from you to get it configured from operator not yours. your task is only to make sure that it is possible or not.

Hope it helps.....Please excuse me if I you already know any of the things i have tried to tell. and also escuse the syntex/grammer/spelling mistakes if any. I usually review the posts/emails that i write but i am so busy with my own professional schedule that i am unable to give proper time.

    Thanks

  • ceilu Nov 06, 2008

    please see http://blackberryforums.pinstack.com/sit... and http://supportforums.blackberry.com/rim/...

I have better understanding of your problem now. I think that the sets (whether stolen or not) are blocked by their previoue operator in US. Did you just get the handsets or also the complete box etc. Are the sets new or used? Are the sets branded to some operator (when you turn on the mobile, which opetator logo appears on it?

I guess someone rightly said about contacting the original operator on which the handset was regusteres in link#2.

    Thanks

  • ceilu Nov 06, 2008

By the way i get the notification about your email everytime on my Blackberry and then i have to logon to the FIXYA website to see and reply.

I just found your email addresses on yahoo and gmail (dont ask me how, i am very good in finding people. my friends call me headhunter :) :) :) . Do you mind if I directly send you email? This will save a lot of my time. Also which account do you prefer, yahoo or gmail? Are you using a blackberry yourself (maybe one that you directly purchased from indonesia)?

    Thanks

Download the newest firmware upgrade from Blackberry. In addition to a couple of new apps (movie mode and voice recorder), it should take care of your problem. Of course, this is all free.
