Question about Canon PIXMA iP4200 InkJet Photo Printer
REFERS TO PRINTHEAD, WHICH I KNOW IS FUNCTIONING OK, BECAUSE I TOOK IT OUT, REPLACED IT, NO ERROR SIGNAL, RAN OFF FIVE VERY VARIED COLOUR PRINTS, EXCELLENT RESULTS. TRIED AGAIN NEXT TIME SWITCHED ON, 5 FLASHES BACK AGAIN. CAN'T STOP FLASHES, PRINTER INOPERATIVE. HOW DO I CIRCUMVENT FLASH SIGNAL WHEN CLEARLY THERE ACTUALLY IS NO ERROR? HOPE YOU HAVE COME ACROSS THIS BEFORE. EVERYTHING WORKS, BUT CANON'S ERROR SET UP PREVENTING USE BY THEIR CUSTOMER. PRINTER OUT OF WARRANTY.
Error also refers to the EEPROM for the printhead. I would reset the EEPROM and see if that helps.
Printer servcie manual here and it will show you how to do it:
Hope that helps
