Question about HP Office Equipment & Supplies

1 Answer

Only half of the page is printing, the rest is so faint it can't be read. I've tried changing the ink cartridge although the one in use is quite new. However with the new cartridge the same thing happened. I've cleaned the ink cartridge and it the machine says is that it is aligning cartridges. I've taken them out and put them back in and still it says the same thing and nothing else will move.

Try to print the test page from the printer only not from your pc.if the test page comes proper , then the problem is with your printer driver which you have loaded.uninstall the driver and reload it properly.
and if the test print from the printer does not come proper then its the problem of your printer's circuit board.it has to be repaired by a technician.

hope this helps......
thanks.

Printer is only half printing doc on each line, have done test page, very faint, aligned ink, clean cartridges, all with top v faint and bottom dark ink, new cartridge last fri and was working well,...

Open the rear of the printer and make sure theres no paper jam or broken parts.

Try printing a document with the rear of the printer open and watch to see if anything out of the ordinary happens.

I have an HP L7680. I have all HP ink cartridges. The printheads read monitor and good. I have printed the diagnostics page and aligned and cleaned the printheads and calibrated. No matter what I do...

Cleaning the print heads can sometimes help and other times aggravate the problem, because cleaning takes a lot of ink out of the cartridges. If the cartridges are emptied using the cleaning procedure, then the cartridges will have to be replaced with new ones.

The ink jet information provided by hp's software can sometimes be just an estimate of how much ink is in the cartridge and not an actual reading by the electronics. So... Try new ink jet cartridges fresh from a package to see if that solves the problem, and make sure that the contacts are blown free of dust or dirt.

Good luck on this repair.

When printing, the top half of page prints normal... bottom half of page very faint...

Your ink cartridge has about 9 very small nozzles that spray ink to complete a letter the upper nozzles complete the upper half and the lower half is done by the lower nozzles. The lower nozzles are stopped or clogged up by dried up ink or the control resisters in the firing circuit are burned out. some times you can unclog the nozzles by soaking the lower part of the cartridge in hot water for a half hour and drying it well ,replace it in the carrier and try it again. However you will lose a lot of ink and it may be more prudent to replace the cartridge.

Printing text in black, the bottom half of the page and subsequent pages go faint as if not enough ink is getting through

this could happen if the cartrige ink is at the last stage of getting over.two options for this proble, 1)get the black cartridge refilled. 2)or replace the cartridge with new 1. this will definately solve the problem.

Printing light blue will full ink

its either the catridge head is bad or yr new ink isnt too good although its new it still can go bad. now try using menthylated spirit sucked in a tooth brush thats not too hard . use it to clean the inside of the cartridge head. that is those spots inside. cos atimes dirty could cause such problems. so try it out.
hope this helps
thanks

Deteriorating Print Quality

This is Maltesecross. Turns out that the faintness of my printed pages was in fact due to a low ink cartridge, even though some pages printed out fine and others half-good. Eventually, all pages turned faint, and upon re-installing the driver, I got a low-ink warning (the first one ever). Putting in a new ink cartridge solved the problem for me.
