WHat up? Ok to get the ringtones to your phone (which I have searched for two days to find a solution) do the following

1.) get your desired .mp3, or .mid ringtone file and have it on your pc.
2.) log into your email (yahoo, hotmail, etc), create an email and attach the .mp3 file. Make sure the .mp3 file in under 500k in size.
3.) in to TO: box enter the following ,<yourphonenumber>@mymetropcs.com and send it.
4.) check your message box when your phone chimes.
5.) press the Get button to download the file to your phone. If your file is over 500k it may not download.
6.)Now go to your inbox
7.) press the Browse button to stop the file from playing.
8.) make sure the file is selected, press the Up button (Top outter ring of the middle menu button)
9.) press the options button, select "use higlighted object" and save it to your phone.
10.) the file will now be in the MyTUnes folder and you can now set it as your main ringtone or a contact ring tone. (I'm typing this from memory so my menu selection names may be off a little but this shold get yall going. I was HYPE when I found this solution. I'm now searching on how to get the games on it.

Hope this helps!

I had the same problem until i got a 2gb memory card and conected the usb to my pc.... if it does not automatically make the folder for "mymusic" and "myimages" then you have to make the folders yourself... all you have to do is right click in the box the comes up when you plug your phone in and click on "new folder" and name it "mymusic" and do the same with your "myimages" folder.... that should be all you have to do..... NOW TO ADD MUSIC..... YOU HAVE TO HIGHLIGHT ALL THE MUSIC YOU WANT ON YOUR PHONE AND THEN MOVE IT TO THE "MYMUSIC" FOLDER.... now thyat is all i had to do..... im so sorry if that doesnt help you

The problem with the ZTE C79 is that the ringtones option is locked by Metro PCS because they want you to buy from them. You have to put money into your "Metro Minutes" account and then you can download until you've used up your minutes.
The best way to get music/pictures on is to have a card reader either built into your pc or one that you put the card in and plug into your pc. Just plugging the phone into your usb port will not work. You have to add them to the memory card without the card being in the phone. Unless you have the correct drivers. If you know where to get these drivers, please let the rest of us know.
Emailing from your email account does work with pictures, so it may work with small file ringtones as well.
Also playlists can only be 50 songs long. If you have more than that, like me, you will have to create several playlists to get all the music added. Otherwise you have to play each song individually.

Cant download free ringtones

Some phones simply do not allow you to save downloaded songs, pictures, etc to your phone. In your case this is what it sounds like. Try looking at your manual but it sounds like its nothing you can work around. Sorry!

Downloading to a zte c79

i JUST bought this phone, and got very frustrated trying to download music into the music player. Drag and drop your music files from your pc into your "my music" folder. They DO NOT show up right away, this is why i got pissed. I figured I was doing something wrong. I had the card in my phone, and my phone plugged into the usb port. They finally showed up on my phone after I took the card out and put it back in. As far as saving them for ringtones, I am pretty pissed that I can't do it. I am thinking Metro wants us to pay for them. That is such b&*%$#*!

How do I save ringtones to my ZTE C78 phone?

Go to the website myxer.com and you can download ringtones. the trick is to download the ringtone twice. it will save to your phone. the only drawback is that you can't hear the ringtone before you download it, but you can always try again. this is a free ringtone site.
