Re: Canon MP830 error code 1,0,0
Hhmmm, I would try deleting the reinstalling the driver. Check the manual and see if you can reset the unit to factory defaults. Is it just scanning to a file that causes the error or does copy or send fax also cause the error?

The service error 6500 refers to "other hardware error". This error results from printer hardware failure & nothing much can user do instead of replacing the malfunctioning hardware.
6500 is generally logic board error code. If the printer is under warranty, you can ask for replacement
$7 is the charge for the service provided.
Unfortunately 6A00 is a problem with the sheet feed unit. Follow Canon's suggestion, take it or send the unit UPS to the Authorized Repair Facility. You most likely will NOT be able to resolve the problem yourself, sorry. Your service and repair manual is below, for you to download. All error codes and fixes are in there. www.pdfoo.com/result-pixma-mp830-service-manual-.html
Canon lists the solutions for the error 6A00 as... 1. Press ON/OFF switch to reset the multifunction device 2. Press Stop/Reset and ON/OFF to reset the printer 3. Removing paper jams 4. The MP830 may require repair 5. Unlock the scanner lock switch (MP830)
Have you checked the ink tanks to verify that they are OK. If 1 of them is empty that could trigger the messages. Look in the user's guide starting at pg 161 for a list of messages. let me know if you need any further assistance. i've pasted the user's guide address link just in case you don't have it.
