Yep, the inverter transformer on the Power Supply Board burned out. It's one of 5 inverters that powers up the screen.
If one is burned out, it will not have enough juice to power the screen and goes into protection mode like it's doing right now.
You'll have to replace the POWER SUPPLY/BACKLIGHT INVERTER BOARD. The cheapest place runs for about $90.
I'm not sure which one you have, there are 2 different boards for that TV. The board number should be in white on your board.

It's definitely cheaper than buyig a new TV. That what I did to fix mine. :)
If you throw your old board in the trash, I would like to keep it for research if possible. Here's my e-mail: [email protected]

More then likey you have a bad mainboard. Especially for the 32inch and below its usally the mainboard rather then the powerboard.
The tv parts are modular you can usally buy parts on ebay. I dont recomend soldering or anything like that, just a simple board swap will do.

It sounds like the main board or screen may have gone

The LCD Panel failed. There is no easy fix but try to get the T-Con board to fix the issue. However, this part is usually only available with the whole LCD Panel. This is usually the most expensive part in the TV and the whole TV needs to be taken apart to replace the panel.
Might be economically viable if you can find a place that carrys the T-con but Dynex parts are usually hard to find. The LCD Panel part alone will exceed the cost of the TV.
