Question about BenQ FP731 17" LCD Monitor
Green light comes on but screen stays black, you say resoulder should fix it. can i do this, how? or , where do i get it done, and about how much will it cost me. im in canada... im not sure where you are but keep that in mind too. thanks.
Mine had a similar problem. Try shining a light on the display and seeif you can see (very very faintly) the BENQ logo when you turn it on.If you can, what you will probably need is this:
The description says that it is for Dell and HP monitors but I thinkthey use very similar components. In my case I only had to replace theBel 3a ms125v fuse and it's working perfectly now.
Sorry if you don't like eBay, but that was the only place that I could find those parts and the seller seems really helpful.

The problem is something to do with the circuit board. Its the inverter cicuit that has one or couple of components faulty. I susgest you bring it o the repair shop. If you know how to check transistor II susgest you trouble shoot in the inverter circuit, there should be a transistor with a similar value to this (C5707) there you'll see two identical circuits. Check the transistors.
