Question about Sony Ericsson Walkman W810i Cellular Phone
My S.E w880i went through the washing machine and it nao will not turn on.
i have let it dry out completely for a few days and nothing.
when i plugged it into the charger, the light behind the 'c' or power button came on then went away.
PLEASE!! Help me i paid $600 for this phone and its not old at all
Well..... unless you have the proper torx driver to take the unit apart, you are going to have to send it into Sony for repair.
If you do have the right driver and some patience, you should be able to take it apart CAREFULLY as there are several delicate components and ribbon cables that can be damaged very easily (And I do mean EASILY!).
You more than likely still have moisture trapped inside of the unit and it is causing the unit to short out. Also most likely the battery has been destroyed and WILL need to be replaced. Give it a shot if you want, otherwise I would suggest that you call Sony Ericsson Tech Support and get a tracking number and send it in for service. They might cut you a break if it is under warranty for the parts, but don't count on it.
Wish you best of luck.
