Want to print pictures from camera card.

We bought a Brothers MFC240C just today, mainly for the copy feature. However, we'd like to print pictures off the camera card? but can't find instructions in the User Guide. Nothing happens when we insert the camera card.

I received my Brother printer today (11/5). I also go mine mainly for the scanner because my Visioneer 9320 doesn't have any drivers for VISTA, and Visioneer isn't making any updates.

My camra uses a SD card. This is how I got mine to print pictures.

I place my SD card into the printer
I then press the PHOTO CAPTURE button The display on the printer reads CONNECTING TO PC

Then the display reads PRESS (up arrow or down arrow) & OK
When you press the up or down arrow, the display will read PRINT IMAGES or PRINT INDEX

I selected PRINT INDEX and then you have to press the OK BUTTON
The printer display then will ask 6 images per line or 5 images per line.
You pick what you want then you hit the OK button.

Don't forget to put the photo paper in the tray, upside down.

Hopes this helps

Can't find a place to accept my memory card to print pictures

To be honest, it usually depends on what type of memory card your camera uses. Many places such as department stores, pharmacies and many camera stores can usually process standard memory cards such as SD and CF cards (although in the case of "micro SD cards, you may need to provide your own adapter). In fact, many such places today have kiosks available for you to do it yourself. That said however, not all cameras use standard cards...many older Sony's for example use "Smart Cards", which most places consider outdated technology.

Without further information as the the camera make/model and/or what type of memory card you're trying to print from, my advice would be to simply copy your pictures from your camera to your computer and then burn them to a standard CD/DVD (or even a USB flash drive) and print from that. This would also have the advantage that it will allow you to make basic adjustments (cropping, color, contrast/levels, etc) to your images via software such as Photoshop, Elements, Coral, Gimp, etc...after all, if you're going to print your pictures, don't you want them to look as nice as possible? If you copy your images to your computer, you could even email them to one of the many online companies available (just Google "online photo printing" for a list) and have them mailed to your door.

Hope this helps!

Used camera today without realizing photo chip was not in camera. How can I get these pics to print or email to friends? When chip is removed from camera, I am able to view on camera window.

Plug it to a computer and open its files(explore) look for the file where your photos were stored and move them to your laptop/computer or flash drive from there you can send it.

Took about 10 pictures today without realizing disc wasn't in camera. How can I get them on disc to print or send emails?

How do you normally download your pictures?

If you do it by connecting your camera to your computer, simply remove your memory card before making the connection. If you do it by putting your memory card into a card reader, first use the "Copy to Card" command in the playback menu to copy the pictures from the camera to the memory card.

How to transfer Nikon Coolpix camera pictures to memory card?

Make sure you have an SD memory card inserted and your camera is on. Press the Play button to view your images. Now press menu and scroll down to the copy feature. You have two options, copy from camera to memory card is on top, and from memory card to camera is on the bottom.  Once you select your option, choose your pictures and copy.

New memory card.

See if there is a copy feature in menus where you can internally copy from internal memory to card-kodaks and some other manufs offer this feature-i would offload internal pics w/usb to computer and then just start using new card-get a memory card reader also and you can put from comp back to memory card w/reader-no need normally to format new memory card-just don't format internal or you will lose pics

How to copy panorama feature?

The panorama feature cannot be copied, it is 'firmware' of sorts that is integrated into the card itself. Olympus does offer several types of 'special' firmware in their branded SmartMedia cards (I believe there was a special one for printing T-Shirts and Mugs and the like....don't recall exactly, but did have a special supplement when I bought my C-1400XL).

Move images saved to the internal memory to the optional xD-Picture Card

The images saved to the internal memory can be copied to the xD Picture Card, but you cannot copy images from the xD Picture Card to the internal memory. Before you choose to copy the files to the xD card be sure that there is enough room on that card. To copy the images to the xD card make sure the camera is powered on, then and press the menu button. Use the down arrow key to navigate through the menu to the BACK UP feature. Use the right arrow key to enter the Back Up screen and select YES to copy the images to the xD card, or NO if you choose not to coy the image files.
