You CANNOT downgrade to an earlier custom firmware or software sit until a newer custom firmware is available. You will have to make a Pandora Battery and a Magic Memory Stick. Basically you have to open up a PSP battery and cut a certain peg. The magic memory stick is alot easier and doesn't pose a threat to the PSP. Watch a tutorial on youtube for the Pandora Battery so you don't stuff up, there is a different method for the PSP Slim battery
that is a (your firmware is a official firmeware)you cannot run any software like umd dumper you shoud have custom firmware
if you want custom firmware
if you a fat or slim and light psp you aree in luck you can make or buy a pandora kit and downgrade from any firmware if you are using psp go u cannot have psp custom firmware although the dark alex(creator of m33)is finding a way to make custom firmware in psp go
and if you have psp slim and brite you cannot make the custom firmware yourself you may consider giving it to a game store for custom firmware
thanks rate 4 thumbs i helped you naa
Yes it is possible, depending on what model your PSP is. There is a special Battery that will allow older PSPs to go into a type of "service" mode, allowing you to upgrade or downgrade at your will. There is much more information on this here: http://pspupdates.qj.net/Noobz-C-D-release-Pandora-s-Battery-unbricker-for-all-PSPs/pg/49/aid/100579
It is referred to as an "Unbricker" which means to fix a broken PSP that was flashed incorrectly, or attempting to upgrade to a custom firmware and failing during the process. When that happens the PSP becomes "bricked", and before this Pandora's battery was created the PSP would have been doomed as a paperweight.
So YES! It is possible, but it is difficult if not impossible to do without knowing someone that has experience in modding PSPs and the required hardware and software, aka the Pandora's Battery. You can purchase one of these batteries from online retailers that I will not list as I'm not here to promote specific sites!
pandora and magik stick cannot be used with psp 3k models.. you have to wait until a working exploit is found.. and dont EVER upgrade your psp if you want to do something with it.. google is you friend. take a look at mohh exploit.. still in the verry beginning.. but very promising.
if you have downloaded the firmware from the internet, that is really not advisable. it would be best to go the nearest gaming zone for updating firmware.
some firmware are not compatible and not updated. downgrade your firmware to a more stable firmware.
HELLO! There's no need to downgrade ur PSP. If u have upgraded ur PSP from the official site and a official firmware has been installed on to ur PSP, it won't execute games(ISO,CSO) from ur memory stick. It will only run games from the UMD. If u want to run ur games from a memory stick u have to install a CUSTOM FIRMWARE. Try www.psp-hacks.com these guys have many softwares on their site. Dont worry its not that hard to put a Custom firmware onto ur PSP.
If you want to upgrade, you must downgrade first. Any custom firmware upgrade cannot take place unless your PSP is firmware 1.5 or lower.
Chances are that you have a different firmware. If you want to get a custom firmware and downgrade, it is a very complex process that I do NOT recommend if you do not know what you are doing. It is very easy to ruin your PSP during the process. If you are still interested, research "Pandora's Battery" and other downgraders. It is a very long process too long to be explained here, and there are many guides online.
If you miraculously have a PSP that is firmware 1.5, I recommend getting firmware 5.00 m33-4 instead, as it is much more stable. Don't attempt anything unless you understand the consequences of possibly ruining your PSP.
If so, your PSP probably runs on an Official Firmware of Sony...to check if it is an official firmware, just go to your XMB>SYSTEM>SYSTEM INFORMATION, then check your System Software...if your System software has the M33-2 suffix, it is a Custom firmware and it should be able to run games on your Memcard...then if it DOESN'T HAVE a M33 Suffix, therefore, I'm sorry to say that iit is an OFFICIAL Sony Firmware and IT CANNOT run games on your memory card...the only way to fix that is you should have it modded/downgraded and then upgraded to a custom Firmware...
