    I feel pretty stupid, but how do you get to the 283p128050. It sure seems like an awful lot of screws..lol

  • dieselscott Nov 04, 2008

    In what general area is this f9a06 on the power pcb located? In the back, the front...I am sorry, but I have no clue on tv's. Thanks for all your help so far.

  • dieselscott Jan 06, 2009

    I took this TV apart, and found that the fan is extremely dirty, and all the boards are covered with this thick dust. Would this be part of my problem? Where is the F9A06 on the power PCB? Any pics?

Good Day;
No Power
Causes: Cause #1 1. Red status LED, self-diagnosis error 44, check for open F9A06 on the Power PCB part # 283P128050 on the Power PCB 2. Red lamp LED, self diagnosis error 34. Check for 5-volts DC at J-9 connector pin 1 and 2 on the Engine Driver PCB if missing replace the Power PCB part # 930B921002 3. LED stops blinking after 70 seconds of plug in but will not power on. This model is equipped with a keyboard lock feature, this can be mistaken as a no power condition. To unlock the keyboard press and hold the "menu" button on the front panel for 10 seconds 4. LED stops blinking after 70 seconds of plug in but will not power on. Check for 3.2 volts DC at connector LE pin 3 and 4 on the Control PCB, if low suspect problems with the switches/buttons on the Control PCB part # 935D776001 5. LED stops blinking after 70 seconds of plug in but will not power on. Keyboard is not locked and key inputs at connector LE pin 3 and 4 check good. Suspect the E2P PCB part # 934C121001 6. (LED does not stop blinking after plug in) Disconnect the USB connector from the card reader to the front from the Chassis, if the LED stops blinking after 70 seconds replace the Card Reader part # 299P271010. 7. (LED does not stop blinking after plug in) Disconnecting the USB connector from the Card Reader did not help. Remove connector FC from the FMT PCB and plug the unit in, if the LED stops blinking after 70 seconds with FC removed suspect a problem on the FMT PCB (part # 930B924002), if the LED keeps blinking with connector FC removed suspect a problem on the DM PCB (part # 934C116002). 8. (LED does not stop blinking after plug in) On the DM PCB (part # 934C116002) check C81A2, C81A3, C81B3 and C81B4 (1000 UFD, 16V, 105C), if any are bad, replace all of them with part # 181P734030 (680 uFD, 16V, 105C). See Service Tip VS-78A 9. (LED does not stop blinking after plug in) On the FMT PCB (part # 930B924002) check C8F19, C8F21, C8F22, and C8F27 (16V 1000 UFD 105C), if any are bad, replace all of them with part # 181P734030 (680 uFD, 16V, 105C). RED FLASHING STATUS LIGHT

Possible lamp failure but lamp light not status should blink-I have suggestions but want you to try the self check first--if set has been unplugged plug it up and turn on and when it fails:

Mitsubishi TVtroubleshooting
Here's something that might also be useful. After you turn on the set, and getthe regular red blinky lights, hold down the Device and Menu buttons togetherfor about 5 seconds.
The Power light will start to flash in a two digit sequence.
For example, 3 flashes, then 7 flashes = 37.
Here are the error codes, and the corresponding problem:
12 = No error detected, check power supply.
32 = Lamp Cover is open.
33 = Air filtercover is open.
34 = Lamp abnormality
36 = Light Engine (DMD or Lamp Fan stopped)
37 = Exhaust or Lamp Ballast Fan stopped
38 = Lamp Temperature High
39 = DMD Temperature High
41 = Short is detected
44 = DVI cablebetween FMT and Engine disconnected

What does it mean when the status light is blinking red on my mitsubishi wd-62526

When the status light is blinking push the device and menu buttons on the tv at the same time and hold for 5 seconds or more. The red light will then blink a code. It will blink like 3 times, pause, then blink like 5 times. That would be a code of 35. It may blink one time long, then two short blinks. That is not a code blink but indicates another problem. Do a search for the service manual for your tv on the internet and look up the code. Sometimes it is as simple as a dirty fan that won't turn any more. But by knowing the codes you will know if you need a technician or if it is something simple.

The red "on" light is blinking and the TV

a suggestion: unplug set and try to turn on again; if power light blinks does it blink in a sequence?

3 blinks repeated will mean a problem in the Convergence area.

5 blinks repeated will mean a short on the 140 volt line.

These are the two most common error codes.

I have a 57" mitsubishi

You probably have a bad lamp again I hate to say. These lamp are so critical when being moved. If after you atttempt to power on TV then red light shows, press menu+input on the front panel and hold for 5 seconds. Front timer LED will blink a 2 digit error code five times then stop. Code 34 and 66 are lamp errors, and if you read code 66 the lamp is broken. Good luck

Status Light Problem

Is the status light yellow or red? If it is yellow, then check the dust filter cover. That cover might be off or not secure. If the status light is red and blinking, then try unplugging the TV for a minute. If the error doesn't resolve the TV needs service. If it is out of warranty, you might want to open up the set and look for any obvious problems on the circuit boards (scorch marks, soot, bulging or leaking capacitors (look like cylinders on tripods)).

I hope this helps.

Status indicator flashes 3 short times, then one long red flash

Once the status light blinks 3 times, this is an indication that there's a problem with the lamp. The lamp may need a replacement.

If you replace the lamp, but get the same problem, check the inverter board.

If you're not sure where the inverter board is, then you may need to contact a pro for your safety.

Good luck and have a good evening!

Red lamp light stays light

I doubt that it is the optical assy. it sounds more like a chassis problem either on the DM or the FMT board.

check out www.tv-techs.com
if it is a chassis problem it will cost about $250.00 plus shipping one way to fix the chassis

Status Light Flashes Red

first did you getthe lamp from miths and if notyou could have bought a bad lamp. you need to get a lamp form mits if you did not buy from them. if you did buy from mits have them replace the lamp it has a 90 day warranty. try hitting the menu and device / input buttons for 5 sec and repost the blink code. it is a 2 digits blink code. (ex. 23 or 33 or 26 like that)
