Question about Lexmark X5250 All-In-One InkJet Printer
I tried what you suggested so far and nothing. I have tried doing it in safe mode, but it says that the printer spooler service is not running, and then gives me an option to cancel or hit OK to continue and fix the problem; but it does nothing. The software will install and attempt to open up in normal mode of course, but it still gets that message about searching for scanning applications. Do you think that installing service pack 3 from Microsoft Updates could be the issue? I see it has drivers for the service pack 2, but nothing higher than that. I have service pack 2 which is the original CD I bought for XP, but Microsoft automaticly updated it for me. What should I do? The printer itself works of course, and it will scan with the MS PAINT program, but thats it. I want to use the all-in-one software because its so much easier and has other features that I like as well.
I think I have it.
