This might sound funny but make sure the printer is turned on when pluging it in.

You can also try a different port also! If you are using USB Cables

Let me know if that doesn't do it

When I Connect My Aiptek 8100 camera to the PC, they show a message "USB device not recognized." Is this because I did not install it's driver? If so please tell me where I can find the driver?

Usually usb device not recognized is due to damaged usb cable or usb port..use a different usb cable and connect it to your pc, if your usb cable is ok then connect it to a different usb port. if the problem in not with the usb cable or port install driver from the cd you got with camera. if you dont have that cd download driver from the device manufacturer site.

Hello, I have a SATO CL408e, with a parallel connection. I have used a parallel to usb to connect to my laptop and i have istalled all the drivers. I have the port set to LPT2. The problem is the device...

In the past I have got that problem several times. The truth, it will always be better to use technology from this century. ;)
The problem with adapters is that they are usually chinese and those drivers are horrible. I usually solve it by buying the most expensive adaptor on the store, which usually includes a Driver CD. The OS could be helping to make it even more difficult. If you have a Windows Vista, you will not have an easy time printing.

I would like to print off of my lap top HP paodion dv7-1451nr Where is the port for the USB cable ? Is there a program/Cd I need for this?

Printers do not have a standard USB port. Instead, they use a port that is a bit more square. The cable you'll need is USB one one side and Printer on the other wide. These are extremely easy to find at an electronics retailer and are commonly known as a printer cable.

Whether or not you'll need a program/CD depends on your computer. After you have the correct cable, you can try connecting the printer to your laptop and seeing if the driver already exists/works correctly. If no luck, you can use the Internet to go to Canon's website and download the correct driver for your printer. That should get things going with no Program/CD needed.

I have just bought an epson stylus sx125 and am having problems installing it. Can you tell me the driver port. I have thge software disc.

The specs says it is a usb device. driver port does not mean much to me. You need to load the drivers using the cd first then connect the printer when instructed by the install program or when the driver software installation is complete. you need a Usb cable.

remove usb cable, remove driver and restart your pc. after booting re connect printer usb cable from there found new hardware must be appear and then load your driver manually. if no new hardware found replace usb cable, or maybe the problem is in printer itself.

Usb device not recognised

Is this the first time you connect your printer on that computer? This can be the USB port does not support a 2.0, or your data cable/printer cable is damage.

Hope this helps

My printer doesnt workproperly

I'm assuming you're getting a communication error. This can be caused by a electronic fault in the printer or corrupted printer drivers or corrupted USB ports. To eleimate the ports and drivers do this. Donwload and run Dr. Web, Malware Bytes and Superantispyware. That'll take care of any nusciences. Now goto Start, Run and type SFC /scannow. Be prepared to insert your operating system disk. This will insure we have good USB ports. Now go to Start, Control Panel, Printers and Faxes. Make sure your printer is listed as the default. If not use Find printer and be prpared to insert your printer's CD. Once we have good drivers and good USB ports, then the only thing left that can cause a communication error is the cable or the printer. Good Luck
