Question about Brother MFC 210C All-In-One InkJet Printer
I picked up this non-working printer at a garage sale. The printer powers up normally, goes through its initialization cycle all the way to the idle screen ready to print/copy. Then about 70 seconds later, the printer goes through the power up cycle again as if it was unplugged. This repeats forever. In copy mode I have managed to print about half a page until the power up cycle repeats. I haven't connected the printer to a PC yet. I've taken the printer apart to inspect the power supply and controller boards. Nothing visibly wrong other than a few suspect solder joints which I touched up. The main controller IC seems to run a just little warm, but still touchable. Put the printer back together, but the problem remains...
Hey, i need your help.i bought a Brother MFC-210C, i was experiencing a power cycle problem so i decided to do a firmware update. Durning the update everything was going fine until i got an error stating that the "Stop botton was pushed" and the communication link was broken. I did not pushed the stop botton but it said that it was which was strange. But on the printer lcd, it showed that the update in pregress even though the firmware tool was closed on my system. After leaving the printer that way for about 15minutes i decided to unplug the printer due to the fact that the power key nor any other was responding. When i turn the printer back on i got a ring and there are only blocks on the printer lcd along with the 4 lights for the copier, scanner, memory cards etc on. When i attempted to reconnect the printer, i'm unable to install the drivers and i'm bring prompt for drivers for a "USB device" another "USB Device" and a "BrotherBHL2-Maintenance" driver. I'm lost and don't know what to do. i've tried several web searches and without any success in solving this problem. I need to use my printer for school so is there anyway in which this can be fixed? I'll accept any help. thanks
