Your problem is because after the camera dried the copper leads on the ribbon cable have corroded. you have to clean every cable with alcohol and distilled water. if this does not work then which ever cable is corroded has to be replaced. hope this helps.

Turns on but turns right back off

It might be a lense problem. Dirt and things get stuck in the lense real easily. hold the lense while you tuen it on and when it turns off hold the lens out.. wiggle it gently while turning it upside down... tap it gently upside down.... or blow int he lens to try and get the dirt disloged.

Nikon d100 tok several pictures and they are not on card

It sounds like it may have reformatted itself and if thats the case, they are gone. Some camera's have the option built in, then again, your computer might have done it when plugged into the card reader. I hope this can help shed some light on what may have happened, but sorry to say, if the memory card is now empty, chances are slim on recovering the pics.

Samsung L730 wont extend lens and dosent turn on right

Try removing the batteries and memory card. Let the camera set for awhile. Put the batteries back in but not the memory card, restart the camera. Does it work know? If it does, turn the camera off put the memory card back in. Turn the camera on, does it work now? If it doesn't, replace the memory card.

My Kodak V530 is able to turn on,but all black in LCD

Mine was doing about the same thing. Take the battery out. Take the 4 screws off where you can get to the screen from the inside. Get the back off where you can get to the screen connection. Press on the connection to make sure they are seated well and put it back together. It worked for me.

Lens error

ok,i had this problem & couldnt find solution anywhere,so i took the back off the camera to reveal the lense unit. Now there is 2 screws in the middle of the back of the lense you need to remove together with ribbon cable.Underneath this is a small square rubber seal which was not seated properly. All i done was to seat it back in the right place, put all back together & hey presto, turned camera on & all was good.
This might not be the same problem you all have but it worked for me.
Good luck !!!

Used FE-170 hardly powering on.

The lens need to be replaced or repaired. It is not fully extending. It may be that one or more of the plastic gears or plastic rods that hold the gears in place, are broken. I repaired two plastic rods in my lens, by drilling holes for new plastic rods,(I cut plastic rods from a plastic toilet bowl chain!!! It fit inside the gears perfectly), and super glue the rods in place. Replaced gears, put camera back together and BAM in worked! Nothing like a perfectly working refurbished rig job. Camera takes great pictures to this day.

Canon Powershot sd30 Black screen

Then it sounds like there may be an error with your CCD (what comverts the light going into your camera into a digital picture, like digital film). even if your warranty is expired canon may still repair this for free. Contact canon at 1-800-OK-CANON and explain to them the problem and that you think the CCD may be defective.

My Camera Wont Turn On To Take Pictures

i had this problem also. i tried reinstalling the program on my computer, buying new batteries and charging them with an external charger. nothing seemed to work. i was convinced the problem lay with the camera.
i had taken the camera at one point to a very cold and dusty environment (a glacier). the lens cap started getting stuck after that, and it would occasionally not send out the lenses. i had dismantled it to clean it, which kind of worked.
this time, i was certain it was something to do with the recharging system in the camera. however when i opened it up i noticed 2 things...
a) one of the 4 base screws that hold the battery cover on, had been put back in the wrong place... these screws are about a millimeter longer than the other black screws, and in the wrong place could have been shorting it out.
b) the front and back covers are grounded by a strip of copper on the side opposite the strap retainer. these were crushed and could have been also grounding something out. i straightened the strips out and put everything back together, testing the on/off button after every couple of screws.
i am happy to say that i got mine back working again. i put my experience down to inexperience and the difficulty of doing a field repair the first time. tools required: magnifying glass, bright light, and a very fine philips screw driver (1mm).
p.s.: the lens caps still sticks partially closed, so i never did fix that problem. LOL!

Dark LCD

Is it possible that you've gone into M (manual) mode and the shutter speed is fast and a small aperture (large number) been selected? Or has the Exposure compensation been adjusted to be -2? Does it do the same thing in fully automatic mode? It certainly sounds like some setting has been adjusted incorrectly.
