Question about HP Computers & Internet
I see this a lot at work. Here are the steps I go through to TS.
1. Make sure the computer is off 2. Unplug the AC Adapter and remove the battery 3. With nothing attatched to the laptop (including battery) press and hold the Power button for 15-30 sec. 4. Plug in the AC adpt. to the unit and the wall (leave battery out at this point). 5. Turn on the unit. At this point it might turn on (I've had about 50% success on this).
If this does not work and you are still experiancing the same issue you computer may be under HP's Limited Warrenty Service Encancement. Which is basically a recall by all means but don't call it that. HP will throw a fit and won't help. Seriously. They are going to want to check your model number and your product number.
Finding these is simple. Look on the back side of the unit and locate the sicker with 2 barcodes on it. the number labeled "P/N" is your Product Number. The official HP Model Number is located directly above the word warrenty. Example: DV6312US.
You can also look here on HP's website for more information the the LWSE.

a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
