Question about Sony Playstation 3 (PS3) Console
I downloaded a new update nd now that i did that wen i cut it on it show the start up screen with the wave goin across how do u solve this
This sounds like a generic problem with the update, what versions of PS3 is everyone using? The 2.5 had had issues of attatched malware (apparently according to other posts) as well as bugs like the one you are experiencing.
Try lookin at (read all of this post before trying this):
Have a look at this post, as I was about to suggest the same method but is saves me the typing.
To bring up the recovery menu, wait for the dual beep and it will start up. If this does not work, try entering 'recovery mode' in sony website there will be another tutorial.
YOU NEED TO BACK UP ALL GAME DATA IF POSSIBLE AS YOU MAY (IN FACT WILL MOST PROBABLY) LOSE IT using this method. Ensure there is no other method to fix this first but i was suggested it by the guy i bought my ps3 off when my games would not load.
With all of the problems, Sony should release a bug fix or a definite method to recover this issue but if you cannot acess your ps3 then i would suggest recovery mode as it worked for me with a previous problem similar to this, though you will probably have to format drives and lose data / vids / pics as a result.
