Eliminate all other gear connected to the set and try it. If the problem goes away, you have a bad source piece of equipment. Like a VCR,DVD,etc....accordianman

Sound but no picture

if the screen is totally black you must need to check weather the heater light in the neck of the picture tube is working. if not, their might be a problem in the horizontal section or the FBT has defect. now if the screen has a white raster like a snow the cause would be a bad tuner board.

I posted a problem on how to remove panel but I solved it. Now as I mentioned the tv comes on goes green then black no picture just sound. I followed instructions on adjusting G screw but it doesnt work...

Its possible one of two thing have occurred, you have maladjusted the G screen control on the high voltage screens and focus assembly. Turn down (counterclockwise) all three of the screen drivers. Adjust each until a light appears in the each lens, red green and blue. Go slow or lines will appear if set too high. If all three lamps stay lit after this adjustment the look at your screen with color level down to zero using your remote and the picture menu. Adjust the three color drives to get a good black and white balance appearing on the screen. Now adjust the color level from the picture menu back up to normal range.
If you still get green diagonal lines after this adjustment then I would suspect that the green lens has a heater to cathode short in the tube.

I lost the manual for my monday night football tv remote how can i get the codes for a viso tv

You can get the manual and codes on the link below. There is no codes for the Viso Tv. you will need to do a code search.

Manually turn off the device that

yo11 wish to control. Press and

hold the key for the device type

(TV, VCR, CBL or SAT) that you

wish to program your football to

control. After about three seconds,

the red LED near the

threads of the football will come

on. This indicates that your football

is ready to program.

Press the ONIOFF key Cjust to

the left of the TV key). Press the

CH+ key repeatedly until the

device turns on. You may need to

step through quite a few codes

until this happens. Once the

device turns on, STOP. Do not

press the CH+ key again.

Press the ENTER key t9&?cept

the programming. Your football is

now programmed to control the

device.

Note: If none of the brand

codes for the device work, go to

for more information.

Follow the above steps for any

other device(s) that your football
will be used to control.

WHAT WOULD CAUSE THE TV BLINK ON AND OFF ?

The picture tube is right on the edge of working with the set's AKB, or auto cathode balance. All Sony tube TV's use AKB. AKB is a circuit that attempts to compensate for aging of the picture tube (among other things), and if the tube isn't conducting enough (due to age), it will intermittently blank the screen or, in severe cases, not allow the picture to come on at all. But if you are comfortable taking the back off of the set and making a minor adjustment, you can probably restore the picture for a while longer. Take the back off, turn the set on to a blank channel (receiving snow). You will see a large gizmo with a thick red wire coming out of it going up to the glass on the picture tube. That's the high voltage (a.k.a. flyback) transformer. On this transformer will be a small knob labeled "Screen." If you turn this control ever-so-slightly counterclockwise, the screen will blank off immediately. But if you turn it just a bit clockwise, it may fix your problem. Don't go too far with this control, just enough to make it work. This is DANGEROUS FROM HIGH VOLTAGE, so make sure you have a qualified tech help you do this.

CT-36SL14 powers on with clicking noise.

Sorry, but you've been had. From what you describe, it sounds like the set is going into high voltage shutdown. It does this if picture tube voltage goes over limits that might cause excess x-ray radiation, and the only way to clear the shutdown is to unplug the set. A number of things might be causing the problem, including a bad picture tube which would exceed the cost of a new TV. Without checking the set myself I couldn't suggest anything specific, and there are few repairs you would be able to try for yourself without the tools and some experience.

The only "solution" to this, I think, is to try to get your money back from the seller as the item was misrepresented, and apply it toward a set you can see working before you buy it.
