Problem with my d-link dsl-2320b modem

Hi i have the modem listed above. its been really slow since last night. two of the lights blink the status light and the lan light. when these two blink simultaniously there is no action on the webpage. if i hit stop and give it a few seconds it will go away. but once i click on a website they will resume.
im not sure if it has anything to do with the modem, phone line, or my dsl connection

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Do you have an Internet service provider (ISP), like AT&T or Verizon (if you live in the US) ? Usually, your ISP will give you a modem/router (cable or DSL) for free when you sign up with them for Internet service.

Hello, I keep loosing internet connection, how can I tell if there is a problem with the modem?

try to check the status of the lights on your modem. Try to check the light in globe icon, that is the icon for your Internet status, if is GREEN it mean to say that it has connection. When it turns to RED, check the DSL light if it is in SOLID GREEN, When it blinks try to check it with your Service provider.

The power light in my modem stay red and it wont change it was working fine last night but this morning it started to act up

All routers have a reset button at the back, they arent obvious because its just a hole, turn your router on, wait 1 minute stick a pin down this hole and hold it down for about five seconds, wait a minute and then power off and on your router, should work just fine but you might have to check your settings again since resetting a router resets all settings...Hope this helps

I can´t reset the modem D-Link 2320-B, I am trying

You can restore the unit to factory setting by pressing the reset button. It is located inside a small hole on the back of your router between the LAN and DSL connections. You'll need a pin or very small screwdriver to reach the button inside the hole.

What are the advantages of DSL and Cable modem?

DSL is PPPOE ( requires you to call up your DSL company and have them reset the PPPOE password every-time the modem gets reset) but with Cable this is not a problem trust me. I used to have DSL and I hated having to call up India everytime my dumb brother hit the reset button on the modem when his Internet was not working. Hope this helps and go with Cable!!

4100 Light flash no connection

*if the DSL light on your modem is blinking..
TRY: using different filters// check physical connection
IF: not resolved call ISP for a trouble ticket for their line department
*if all the lights constantly blinks
DO: purchase new modem, maybe deffective already or check if modem still under warranty so provider can replace it

NOTE: plug 4100 modem directly to the back of the computer tower without the linksys router and check if light status still the same...
HOW: cable connected from back of modem shud be plug in directly to port at the back of PC tower.. completly remove linksys and turn linksys off..

Router problem

Make sure you have the wireless icon on the taskbar lower right side. If it does not show connected, click the icon and search for wireless devices, you should see the router. connect to the router. Also make sure you have a solid DSL/CABLE status light on the service modem. BPCS
