Question about Emerson NR303TT CD Shelf System

2 Answers

Turntable problems I bought the nr303tt exactly a year ago, and within a few months the turntable started to malfunction, first the sound would slow down and speed up and then it wouldnt spin without me manually spinning it once around. It was still under warrenty and i sent it back and got a new one. I was happy with the new one until a few weeks ago when it started changing speeds and then stoped spinning in the middle of albums. It now wont spin at all. Is there anyway to fix this?

Crosley CR40 playing 33 1/2 too fast? What can I do to slow it just a little bit?

I would get a vintage turntable and not a new one inexpensive one. The new record players do not last.

Sounds low and slow

You can contact the Crosley website and they should sort out the problem you have, as the machine is under warranty.

Keyboard goes to sleep

hello, just so you know that the keyboard does not go to sleep, but to answer your question; the problem is within the control panel>power options, check the settings for your system and see what options are there for the computer to go to sleep other than that try a different port on your computer, let me know the outcome.

Turntable doesn't play

If the turntable stopped spinning then then the turntable belt maybe broken or has slipped off the drive.

I just bought my turntable about a month ago and everyonce in a while in the middle of songs it starts to slow down and drag?? the sliders r set normal it feels like the motor may b burning out or its not...

It does sound like the turntable motor is starting to fail, and it will get worse. The only solution is to take it back because there is nothing that can be done under the present situation. My advice take the device where it was bought while your warranty is in place.

The exact same problem

I can only think the Optical Block is causing the problem. There would be no other thing to block the light except something within the Optical Block itself.

My Crosley combination turntable/CD/cassette/AM & FM radio has recently started giving me fits. I bought it new in 2003 and, until a few months ago, it worked great. But now the turntable arm won't click...

my Crosley CR6007A-MA turntable's sound is very, very low. You can't even hear it barely. I haven't had it long at all and it wasn't broke due to any sort of abuse. I really have no idea why it would do this for no reason! Help!

Teac P-988 Everything sounds slow/warped

not passing the "wow and flutter" specs, eh?
The most common cause of this is a loose or defective belt. An inferior belt will have varying thicknesses along it's length. When it hits a skinny part, it will slow slightly. When it hits the thick part, it will speed slightly. Overall effect is that the record sounds warped.
needledoctor.com has got some good stuff.

Emerson NR303TT Turntable won't work

http://www.archive.org/details/Turntable_Belt_Installation

above is a generic video that applies to almost all belt driven turntables including yours that will show how to install the belt and a few other things. maybe something in the video will clear up exactly how to get the belt on right.

if motor won't spin, spin it with your fingers, sometimes a "dead spot" developes on these motors. if it then starts on it's own, just let it run for a few hrs and the problem may solve itself for a long long time.
