Senville Mini Split Error Code

Hi, I just finished installing a Senville Mini Split HVAC unit. After evacuating the lines, I opened the valves on the outside unit, and turned on power. (The outside unit was supposed to be shipped with enough R410a to run the unit, with the lines supplied.) I didn't hear a great deal of hissing noise when I opened the line valves, so it could be low on R410a, but??? It shows an error code of E4, but there is no documentation with it to tell me what that code means. The compressor does not function on either heat or cool, but the blower does work on fan only mode. All the settings seem to turn on the correct lights on the panel, but it has this error code posted. Can anyone tell me what that code means? I suspect it's telling me it's low on R410a, but...
The model is: KFR-35GWZ/BM
Thanks in advance...
Corley

Same thing over here! Why they don't have a list of error codes and their meanings is beyond me! And it seems they don't even have a website??? What's up with that? Who doesn't have a website these days?! I'd love to find an answer too. My father in law is coming to look at it tomorow and hopefully we figure something out!

We have the same system & have the same error popping up. Has anyone been able to solve the problem?

  • jt2work Apr 26, 2009

I have the same problem. I've used the unit about 12 times each time it work great until today. LED displays E4. I checked all connections, no problem found. Even call the Service Expert. They would even look at it.
I've written a note to GT World to see if they will help with this problem. If I get an answer I'll post it. Until then good luck to all you happy Senville Mini Split customers.

Hi, I have a Panasonic AC R410A , CS - E28FKR and the timer light keeps on flashing and the unit won't work. I turn the outside unit off for a few minutes and then back on and the unit works for about 5 minutes then stops and the timer light flashes again. Have looked at what other people have done and obtained the error code which is 15 but cannot seem to find the correct manual to decider what 15 means. Please can someone help me . Thanks. K

The E4 light on your system is saying there is a commiuntion problem between the inside unit and the outside heatpump unit.Make sure there are no loose wires and you wired it properly,The S wire is the commiuntion link wire make sure it is a solid run between both units.I had the same problem with my system and it was the s wire not making a good connection.

I have purchased over 45 units from GT-World and had a similar issue with one of the split air conditioner units last year. Visited http://www.gt-world.com/faq and found the solution to my problem. Most people install the inverter compressors them selfs and burn the board on the unit. Spoke to Jim at ext 25 and he was very helpful. Had the issue revolved within 48 hours.
10 bucks says orange rooseter installed the unit himself haha. Its not cool calling the good people @ gt-world crooks and shysters buddy.

I've spoken to the distributors tech. He says that the unit shuts down the condenser to protect the unit (E4 error code). He said some possible causes could be: 1. The condenser unit is in an atmosphere that is too hot (like in a garage without proper ventilation). 2. There is a leak (usually at the flare joints--feel around for a greasy type liquid). 3. Something electrical--check all the connections. I'm not sure if this'll help, but at least it's a place to start.

I have the same problem but GT World has been useless in helping. Despite importing the product these a$$hats don't even know what the error codes mean. I'm out two thousand dollars and have a useless piece of Shinco junk hanging on my wall. I'll never, ever, ever buy another Shinco product or anything at all from the shysters and crooks at GT World. Save yourself lots of grief and avoid Shinco and GT World.

I also have purchased a lot of Senville air conditioners from http://www.airconditioneroutlet.com/ and never had an error code appear. They have a support line you can find their number on the website they will be able to help you.

SOURCE: Senville Mini Split Error Code

thanks for your question, you will need a set of gauges on the unit to determine if the unit came precharged, if it didn't then you will need to vacuum down the unit, at least three times, after each time release a little 410a into the system them evacuate again, 410a is bad for drawing moisture, did you put an in-line filter dryer on as well ? after you find out about the freon level, then look at the name plate rating for amount of 410a needed, before adding the freon, use nitrogen to leak check the system, then weigh in the proper amount of 410a, unit should run really well after that, hope that helped, thanks again for your question, please feel free to come back if you have any more questions, thanks, mr.grzz

Hi, when i turned on my Senville mini split the fan will go on for 2 - 3 minutes and then the air conditioner will display P4. On the error code description, it say inverter compressor drive error.

contact the manufacturer to see if they can help you with this type of failure. the compressor and its controller are the two most expensive parts of the unit to repair.

How to replace the blower in a Senville SENA-24HF Mini Split Wall unit?

You have to pump down the a/c and remove the indoor unit. If not

The bottom of front side of front panel there are 3 screws. Unscrew and remove the front panel. Then unscrew PCB board. Then Unscrew the coil, and slightly keep upward and replace the blower.

NOT GETING COOL EVERY THING IS HOOK UP CUT ON ONLY WARM AIR DO I NEED TO PUT C OOLING IN

Portable, window, wall , and mini split are already pre- charged when you buy it, but some, not all, mini splits still have to have the line sets evacuated. Do not add a charge without first evacuating the line set, unless it's already charged. There will be noncondensables remaining in the refrigeration system. This will void your warranty and eventually destroy the equipment. Check to make sure your service valves on the outdoor unit are open.

Put gage on low side and check the pressure running. if it is less than 125 you probably have a leak.
