    John,

Try a Google search on "Vector LF12300D-41".

    Vector AC/DC Adapter

    Model: Vector LF12300D-41

    Input: AC 120V 60Hz 7W

    Output: DC 12V 300 mA

    Class 2 Power Supply

    I still haven't found a battery.

The replacement battery I need is a SEL DMU 6-6 (6V6AH). Does anyone know where I can purchase one? Thanks.

Regarding replacement source for Vector Spot battery "SELDMU 6-6": As of my original need in Late Oct. 2010, shmercy'sadvice was obsolete because Ace Hardware was "OUT OFSTOCK". I found this replacement: the Tempest TR6-6 at BatterySpec @http://www.batteryspec.com/cgi-bin/cart.cgi?action=link&product=313. (I suggest avoiding their TR6-6A for Vectors Spotlights: it's a littlebigger, and may not fit. Also, BatterySpec suggests the Tempest 5-6A as anequivalent for the original "SEL DMU 6-6"; that's only equivalent if5ah=6ah. Caveat Emptor) You can see the actual specs on this product at (themanufacturer) Tempest's web site: http://www.tempestbatteries.com/html/tr6-6.html. This seems to be a virtually identical battery as Vector'soriginal "SEL DMU 6-6" in every way butone. Vector's battery had one F1 (.187"wide) terminal, and one F2 (.250" wide) terminal. On the BatterySpec's Tempest, both terminalsare F1. This was no problem: the Vectorlamp's leads snap snug and secure over both terminals. I paid $10.90, plus $10.13 shipping, ordered on Saturdaymorning 10/23, got a shipping confirmation from their San Jose CA warehouseMonday evening 10/25, and received it in Virginia on Monday morning11/1/2010.

My lantern is not charging model 5312

Since the red led comes on it proves that the charger is working but since it is not able to charge the battery I would say that the battery is bad.

My grama has this old lamp and just trying to figure more info on it. All it says on the lamp is, artistic lamp co. NYC pat. Appld. M.709. If anyone can help that would be awesome.

This is a late thirties early 40s lamp from what I can see of this. It should have an iron base to it. Again, from what I can see it is brass but cant tell if it is plated or not but I am going to say not plated. Polished up this will look really nice. The iron base, if restored, will have to be sealed or primed and painted to keep it from rusting again. Re-wiring is a must and you can get the cardboard sleeves to replace the old ones online or sometimes match them at a hardware store. The value unfinished is 50 to 60 dollars. Restored properly with the correct shade would be about a 250 dollar lamp. More accurate dating on this would be to look on the electrical labels on the cord or the sockets themselves.
