Remove electric sources (battery, power supply) and wait a few minutes. After the code had disapeared you can use your camera again.

When you Remove the battery...hook your charger (with no battery) and then turn it on the camera
Wait 20 seconds... and then turn off. Then Put it back the battery and try again.

If you didn't solve the problem after 2 or 3 times ask your JVC dealer.

E06 tells of a internal malfunction the suggestion is to remove the battery and wait 10 minutes for it to clear and then reinsert the battery and see if the machine works again.

Try using a Cleaning tape on the mini dv drive.

Unfortunately, an E06 error code is a mechanism error code. I'm afraid there is very little, as a consumer, that you can do. The MiniDV mechanism to both tiny and fragile, making it difficult even for a qualified technician to service. My best advice is to find an authorized service center to work on it for you.

There is a legal battla going on on JVC safeguard mode, as often the camera gets stuck with error message and does not work, even when you fix the problem See here.

In your case the error message regards the motor pulling the tape.
Try a different tape , and try pressing forward and rewind.

If that does not unlock it then it can be faulty motor , motor belt slipped out, or the camera stuck in safeguard mode forever, like descripted on the legal website above.

Your camera can not load mechanism completely(E01). Could have problem with mechanism or the mode motor itself fails. By the way, serial number is not necessary. Good Luck
