Do these fuses just pull out like a regular fuse? I see that the red cap just comes off exposing the fuse inside. Is that soldered in place or does that just pull out too?

Fuse in flyback. prehaps you mean the special fuses that are located next to flyback. the fuses are three brown rectangular brown or tan looking to the right of flyback. the one in the middle is f231 the one to look at if you have convergence problem.

I can't find auto converge choice in menu of rca 52" rear projection tv.model # R 52 WH 74.

You have 3 pico fuses by your fly-back transformer. One of them blew that controls your convergence circuit. Your TV now thinks that it is a Basic CRT set with 1 tube. Find the bad fuse and replace with a 1/2 amp pico fuse, and re-solder all the pins of your fly-back transformer. Your menu should have the convergence option again.

The picture is really blurry it looks 3-d. what can i do? it has been getting worse everyday. it doesnt matter if i turn it off, unplug it or anything, it stays blurry and 3-d looking

This is a very common problem for this TV. You have a blown solder in fuse by the high-voltage transformer. It is caused by bad solder connections on the transformer itself. Solder the transformer and replace the fuse and you'll be as good as new! An honest professional should not charge more than $200 to do this.

Tv will not come on

HELLO. it sounds like it could be a couple of things why your set will not come on. 1. you could have a blown fuse.on the chassis. 2. you could have a bad power supplly transformer. 3. you could have a bad horizontal output transistor and a bad fly back transformer. it could be one of them or both of them as well as a blown fuse. because the fuse is blown from the horizontal output transistor burning out or the fly back transformer burning up. check and see if you have a burnt fuse, the size iof the fuse will be 5 amp to 6.3 amp fuse on the chassis right inside where the 110 ac cord comes in and hooks to the chassis. the fuse should be right there, look for it. hope this helps you"GOOD LUCK"

if you know aything about tvs which it appears you do check to see if you are getting voltage to the horizontal output ckt at the collector of the horizontal output transistor if you are probably you either have a horizontal drive or output problem if you are not check to see if you have either fuses or icps or pico fuses are open generally you will see about a 135 volts to yhe hoizontal output ckt.
