Have an HP Deskjet 3050 and just replaced a black ink cartridge 61 with a black ink cartridge 56. Got an error message that says: "Cartridge problem. At least one of the Cartridges has a problem." Have...

On the inside of the cartridge door is the number of the cartridge you must use in your printer. If you put in another number, the electronic chip on the cartridge will tell the printer what type it is and the printer does not want to work with the cartridge. In the chip the printer also keeps track about the uses of the ink.
If number 56 is allowed too, perhaps another cartridge is empty too.
I think you did remove the pink label from the cartridge before you inserted it. because that label will block the electronic connection between the cartridge and the printer.
The manual explains how you can see what cartridge is causing trouble. When the printer is connected to a computer you also can use the computer to find out.

I have a hp 7150 printer series and I just replaced the black ink cart. a error keeps popping up that there is a problem with the cartrige. What could be the prob?

Hello,

The cartridge it's original or a refilled one?
Sometimes refilled cartridges need to be reseted on his chip, so printer doesn't pop up those kind of warnings.
If it's original, check the expiration date - sometimes it's already expired... Go to the store and ask for a new one :)

Good luck

What number is the ink cartridge

The ink cartridges for the 1200 Series can be either the high capacity HP 56 Black (C6656A) and HP 57 Tri-color (C6657A) or the low capacity HP 27 Black (C8727A) and HP 28 Tri-color (C8728A).

I hope this helps.

I have to ask this question of you, just to make sure this is not an issue. Are you using a factory new ink cartridge?
Please consider the following:
If you are using a refilled or third party cartridge that may well be your problem. Most manufacturers build logic into their products to prevent the use of “Other Equipment Manufactured” cartridges as well as re-filled cartridges.
They do this to prevent problems from contaminated inks causing problems with print quality or damaging the physical printhead.
If you are using factory new cartridges, then please call the manufacturers Technical Support for assistance with the warranty on the cartridges

Need basic directions for cartridge installation

Open the Mail upper section of the Printer to expose the print cartriges.....select which print cartridge you want to replace....Either 56 or 57....flip up the lip in front of the ink cartridge and slide out the old and slide in the new (BE SURE TO REMOVE THE PLASTIC COVER FROM THE INK CARTRIDGE).

HP7660 Photosmart Printer

It comes with HP #57 (C6657 A)—Tri-color print cartridge and HP #56 (C6656A)—Black print cartridge and the 56 must always be in there (the black one) but acceptable replacements for the color one are as follows: HP #58 (C6658A)—Photo print cartridge I suggest for the best photos use 58 and 56.

MP140 do not recognize cartrige

Ensure that you are using original cartridges.

Clean the cartridge sensor inside the printer ink carriage with isopropyl alcohol and cotton. From description it looks like a faulty cartridge contact.

The cartridge sensor is the metal plaque that connects to the cartridge chip, is located inside the printer carriage.

I have a hp psc 1210 all in one,it is playing up with print outs, is it possible for me to replace the print head on this model Rick

HP printers use cartridges that ARE the print head. On occasion, the cartridge could be defective...especially if they are the remanufactured type. Try replacing your cartridge with a new HP cartridge.
