Have a service manual smd tools a scope a good observation and have much pati?nt , clean print good before if you remove parts and also if parts replaced bulged capacitors or shorted primary shortened parts fuse resistors controlled ? bridgediode makes dc ? primary hot all ok ? secundairy control the more heavy parts like coils on the print for bad solderings and active components most types are mounted on a heatsink look by litte careful move manipulate and look inbetween on botton site for bad (loose) solderings it is not only to look because its hard to see for most people that also the heavy parts may have problems, fuse resistors in the secundary powerlines that goes to tuner i2c sda slc clock and many more things but be pati?nt sometimes it can be something you never have tought it was because of Not visible conductive pollution , thats why i here make a warning with not high priority, because if smd devices are used in power supply or else parts , i ask everytime by people who have for a short time ago have the walls indoors has papered because of the conductive properties of methylcellulose (wallpaperpaste) and static conductive sensitivity and disturbances in the interior touch of wallpaper paste the cellulose fabric pulls everywhere and many times I have seen this over the years also by hi-fi equipment and especially the Internet modems that's why it often precedes cleanse research is so important. if you decide to make wallpaper do make the paste outside the house .

Boss RC-3 does not power on, any information about why this unit stop working. Clearly seems to be the power source section on main PCB, if somebody does have an schematic please contact.

Most likely the device has been incorrectly powered. The most easy way to check this is the following:

- unscrew the 4 screws on the RC-3 bottom
- slide the board out from the connectors holes
- gently detach all the connectors and wires coming to the board
- locate the schottky diode (SS14) close to the power input connector
- check if the diode is short
- replace the diode if it is
- if this does not solve the problem probably also the capacitors in the power section are shorted.

I have a i5 760 desktop which is continually shutting down 15~20 sec. after start-up. I'd like to know whats the reason behind this problem. When I checked the BIOS it seems the Vcore for the CPU is...

Heat could be the culprit in this situation. Ensure that the CPU Cooler is making good contact with the CPU. Check that it is flat and secure. Also enter the BIOS and check the CPU temperature if possible.

If your mainboard supports 8pin CPU power then you will need to plug in an 8pin CPU power plug or get an adaptor to provide 8pin power.
Your Quad Core CPU needs a fair bit of power. I would suggest nothing less than a 550Watt Power Supply. Depending on the configuration of your computer system.

Would you please list the specifications of your computer system as a comment to this post.
With mainboard make and model number.

Take care!

In winter of 2008 we bought a Gemmy single tree light show. It is called the Incredible Holiday Light Show. It plays music in sync with the lights and has several different light combos. Last year when we...

I had this same problem with mine. After taking the box apart and racking my brain on what it could be, I found this solution:
I have 2 of The Incredible Holiday Light Show Trees from Gemmy and they both had this same problem. After getting rained on they would work for a few minutes and then the lights would dim to nothing but the music still played. I completely disassembled one of them and checked the voltages on all of the ICs first at no load then under full load. At no load everything was fine but under load the input voltages when way down. It turned out being the fuse (F22). It checked fine using continuity and with no load but under load it heats up and reduces the voltage going to the full wave rectifier. The full wave rectifier provides the DC voltage to the whole circuit board. I didn't have a replacement so I bypassed it with a jumper wire until I can get a better fuse to replace it with. Both trees work fine now. OBTW the fuse F22 looks more like a disc capacitor then a fuse but it's marked so you shouldn't have any trouble finding it. Hope this solves your problem as it did mine.

You will have to open the control box and either solder in a jumper wire to bypass or replace this fuse. Hope this helps. I just went out in the garage to test it and this was fixed my issue
