GE 7-5295 CD error

When putting in a cd, the maching blinks the "cd" light over and over, without playing a cd. Listening, you can hear it spinning, but it never plays. I've tried using a cd head cleaner and tried many other cds with no change.

I have the same problem. I put the CD in, you can hear it spinning, but with no music while "cd" is flashing on the screen. Then it shows "nd" (meaning no disk, I think), and stops spinning. If you push play, then it spits the CD out.

When i turned on switch dell vostro 230 it give no display and led colour is red

No Display, so does it seem like the computer booted up and is running except that the Display is black? Do you hear fans running, disk drive spinning, blinking lights or beeps?

I'm going to assume that in your case since you mentioned a red light that it is not booting up all the way. Therefore your problem is probably with the memory, the video card or some other motherboard issue.

Remove the Power Cord, Remove the Battery, Remove the cover that houses the memory on the bottom of the laptop then remove one of thememory chips. Set the chip aside then try rebooting the computer. If it boots, then you know the memory chip you set aside is bad so mark an x onit with an ink pen. If it fails to boot then move the chip to the nextmemory slot and try rebooting. If it fails take the chip out and set itaside, then put the other chip in and try booting it in both slots. If itboots, just to verify that the chip set aside is bad, mark an x on it and putit into the open memory chip slot and try booting.

Power light is blinking

Count the blinks and the pattern of the blinks (3 long blinks, 1 long blink followed by 2 short blinks, etc.).

Maybe your video card is bad.

Cant turn my computer on and there is a yellow blinking light

How many blinks? Count and notice the patterns of the blinks (3 long blinks or 1 long blink followed by two short blinks).

Remove the Power Cord, Open the Case and remove one of thememory chips. Set the chip aside then try rebooting the computer. If it boots, then you know the memory chip you set aside is bad so mark an x onit with an ink pen. If it fails to boot then move the chip to the nextmemory slot and try rebooting. If itboots, just to verify that the chip set aside is bad, mark an x on it and putit into the open memory chip slot and try booting. If all the above fails, you problem could be your Video Card or a motherboard issue.

Do you hear the fans running? Do you hear the hard drive spinning? Did anything ever appear on the monitor?

Fan just work for seconds

Replace the fan or your computer will run hot and keep turning off.

Or are you saying this is what happens when you power on the computer? if so: When you press the power button do you hear fansrunning, hard drive spinning, lights on the computer, hear any beeps or lightsconstantly blinking, hear the DvD/CD drive click and the light on the drawer ofthe DvD/CD turn on for a second or two? If so the laptop is trying toboot or may have booted, but the screen is not showing for some reason.

Beep tones and blinking lights tells the technicians what is going on with thelaptop and why it is not booting. Most times it's a motherboard issuewhen you hear beeps or blinking lights continuous.

GE Spacemaker, Model 7-5295 the cd light blinks and the cd spins but it does not play. After a short period of time nd flashes.

ND means "No Disc". It's probably a newer CD - one that's been copied, perhaps? It's got a format newer than what the CD player on that unit will recognize. Try an older CD.

Cd player keeps showing nd cannot play any type of Cd at all

Hi Tony,

Your GE 7-5295 keeps showing nd (no disc), this simply means that your lens has been damaged. Please replace the lens and you would enjoy listening to music once again in your kitchen.

Kind Regards

JVC car stereo won't play cd

If it does it with any cd and it played before you have to clean the lense or laser. Get a cd player laser cleaner disk or cd. If you still have problems take the radio fuse off in the fuse block to restart it. Remove the fuse wait five minutes then reinstall. Also some times when you burn CDs in the wrong format the cd player will not recognize them.
