Question about Fuji FinePix 3800 Digital Camera
When I turn the camera on I see a msg on the screen that says Card not initialized. I do not see instructions in the maual that tells me how to initialize an xD card, only that the card may need to be formatted.
Turn the camera viewer on (on your finepix 3800, it is the middle position where you preview photos). Press the "menu" button and you will be presented with four options, and the top option is FORMAT. Select format and your card will be usable again. Two things to keep in mind. Any pictures on the card will be lost, and when you press the menu button as I described it may take a few seconds before those four options appear. As an FYI, the most common cause of the card needing to be reformatted is when the pictures are loaded to a MAC computer and the USB cable is pulled before you eject the camera.
