Can I twist back together the heating elements after they break? I have a Hotpoint model # nvlr333ev0ww

Not sure you want to do that....not totally familiar with that machine, but anytime you force pieces back together you can get a short and cause a fire. Here is a part list for your model and schematics for the assembly might help. http://www.searspartsdirect.com/hotpoint-dryer-parts/model-NVLR333EV0WW/1811/0151200/G8080005/00004.html

Hwant schematic for Maytag dryer model YMEDE301YGO

Go to Partselect.com. they will ask for model number and serial number of your dryer. They have every single little part for appliances but better yet they have video's on how to make the repairs. They also have schematics for every conceivable appliance made. the prices are very reasonable and the customer service is top notch!

Ariston AS66VXNA dryer - everything works but no heat- looking for a schematic to check out and troubleshoot - where can I get detailed schematic?

You can find a manual for your model here>>>>>>>>> http://laundry.manualsonline.com/manuals/mfg/ariston/asl70c_1.html Let me ad that you may have just one side of the 240 volt circuit breaker or fuse set tripped or blown allowing all of the electronic functions, but not allowing the full 240 volts across the heating element. One way is to check the fuse box first and then proceed to measure voltage across the heating element after turning on the dryer. Please use caution while doing this. I am looking to replace the heating element on an old hotpoint electric dryer and cannot locate how to find it.

Depends when the dryer was made, older models had the element at the front behind the front panel.
More recent models all have the element located at the rear of the dryer..
Hope this helps.

Model NVLR333EVOWW Not heating up

your element has burnt in half where the sparks are coming from is the end of the element touching the metal. You need the model and serial number go to the nearest appliance parts supplier and get a new element they aren't that hard to replace. Always make sure you disconnect the power source before doing any repairs to the dryer. Good Luck

My hotpoint ctd 40 wont heat up

Things that could stop a electric dryer from heating:
- house fuse or breaker ( needs two of them ), heating element, burnt wire, thermostat(s), thermal fuse ( not all models ), motor heat switch, timer, selector switch, burnt power cord/plug.
A ohm meter test for these parts is here.

1. Reset a circuit breaker
2. To check the component you have to lift the top of the dryer.
3. all heating component located on the back of the drum.
4. The problem could be one of the safety thermostats or heating element.
5. To replace a heating element is to complicated if you do not have experience.
6. let me know if you going to do this

Not heating up

This looks like it is an older model. The normal place I check for parts doesn't stock the heating element. I found an alternative place but the part is $90.

The element is in the large round area that surrounds the drum assembly. Here's a diagram. The heating element is part number 512. The line doesn't reach all the way there but I think the element is the two dark rings inside the housing. Here the page with the parts listing. You'll note that the model number is the same but the brand is GE. GE makes hotpoint.

Hotpoint Aquarius Condensor Dryer not getting Hot

I don't know Hotpoint models but I do know Malber models very well which also have a condensing dryer. The dryer has a fan and a heating coil or heating element, similar to a hair dryer. If you are getting no air flow, then it could be the fan. If you are getting air flow but it is not hot, then it is probably the heating element which burnt out. In the Malber machine, the top cover comes off and you can see an aluminum duct on top with two terminals sticking out the side. These two terminals go to the heating element inside the duct, and the heater element is like the heating element in an oven. You have to remove the duct and then it splits into a top and bottom half, and then you can remove the heating element to replace it. The way to tell if it is bad is to run the machine in a dry cycle and see if there is 110 volts across the heating element terminals. If there is power, but no heat, then the heating element is bad. That element is usually the first thing to fail.
