Question about Toshiba 43H71 43" Rear Projection Television

2 Answers

Vertical Red/Green lines

After my 43H71 is on for about 30 minutes, red and green lines begin to appear at 1/3 and 2/3 on the screen. At first, it's just a few pixels along these lines. As time goes by, more and more dots appear along these lines until they are almost solid (about after an hour of the TV being on). I've done the touch focus auto convergance, but I don't know what else I can do. I just recently move the TV across the city, and the problem was not present before the move. (We were careful, and didn't hit any big bumps or anything....)

You have bad connections on the board and need to be resoldered or the convergence IC's are bad. If you know how to solder on solid state elctronics then you can change the IC's or find a bad connection on the board if you know the High Voltage issues when working on a TV set. If you have to training on TV sets I highly recommend that you call a service person to assist you in this repair.

Why are green horizontal lines are appearing, too much yellow colour and green light blinking red?

These horizontal lines are vertical flyback lines and would indicate
one or more of the tubes cathode drive circuits are defective.
As the picture is predominantly yellow this would indicate excessive drive to red and green guns. Check the red and green video output stages especialy any clamping diodes.regards from Vintie

I have evenly spaced, rows of two vertical green and red lines from top to bottom of my vizio plasma P50HDTV10A

Somehow when switching between the tv and the dvd my wife encountered the pink and green, thin, parallel, vertical lines on the screen. The picture was visible with the lines. I turned the tv off and on but the problem persisted. Unplugged tv for about two minutes and after plugging it back in and turning it on the vertical lines very gone and the picture was back to normal.
