Question about Audio Players & Recorders
I have a cd that is a split-track (for use at a church). One track has music and words, the other just music. You are supposed to be able to use the balance on the cd player to go from one track to the other. The only problem is that I cannot find a cd player that has balance control. Are these not made anymore?
the emitting diode is not shiffting right..it might need some cleaning of its track..open it and check it out. good luck

SOURCE: CD player skips on early tracks
The lens assembly in a CD player glides along on a two rail track, kinda like a railroad track except tubular. The lens carriage is moved over this track by a small motor driving a worm gear. (Think long, tubular and spiral). If the rail tracks or the worm gear dry up or have dust accumulating on them, this could be the cause. Normally they have a light gear oil or lithium grease on them to keep them lubricated.

its basically cleaning the optical lens, but thats so technical and risky to uncover the mixer and clean the lens manually, use cd cleaner locally available in electronic store..
