Question about Washing Machines
We havre a Tromm WM0642HW washine machine that is just over a year old. Recently we have noticed that during a wash cycle, water leaks out underneath the machine. It isn't gushing out, but enough to make a good puddle. What could be causing this? My husband checked the water hose connections into the wall and into the machine and they seem to be fine. The clothes are still getting washed well so I guess theres enough water inside to do the job.
Is it safe to keep running it in this condition?
What could be the cause of the leak, and who should we contact? A repairman or LG? We bought the machine from Home Depot.
I also had water leaking from under the washer during rinse cycle only. I tilted the washer back far enough to get under it and found that the drain hose, part # 4738ER1002 had been punctured by my wifes bra underwire. Super easy to replace and the part is only about $18.00 on ebay.

I have the same problem - just a small amount of water leaking out from under the machine. I removed the top cover and found one of the water lines rubs on the vent tube and has wore completely through. Should be an easy fix, as the line runs from the #2 spigot on the water inlet to the detergent box - both connections are right on top.

I just ran food coloring with no clothes, to pin-point the leak. Check all cycles of wash, if tray/floor has no food coloring, it's a presser line. If it does..then it maybe a front gasket, drain line or internal line. LG Tromm has to screws facing front to back. Remove them bboth and take the top of and watch operations from above, to see where the leak is coming from. Good luck.

Wow, the same exact thing happened to me. Part # 4738ER1002 was punctured by a bra underwire. I noticed water leaking beneath the machine (WM3001HRA) and found the rusted wire sticking out of the black rubber drain (said part #) beneath the machine. (Easily seen by removing the back cover of the washer and inspecting it with a flashlight.)
