LG Tromm WM0642HW washer leaking water!

We havre a Tromm WM0642HW washine machine that is just over a year old. Recently we have noticed that during a wash cycle, water leaks out underneath the machine. It isn't gushing out, but enough to make a good puddle. What could be causing this? My husband checked the water hose connections into the wall and into the machine and they seem to be fine. The clothes are still getting washed well so I guess theres enough water inside to do the job.

Is it safe to keep running it in this condition?
What could be the cause of the leak, and who should we contact? A repairman or LG? We bought the machine from Home Depot.

Thanks!

Mine is a WM1832CW and has started leaking underneath. I watched a cycle to see when it leaked an noticed the machine was overfilling. I had to shut the water suppy off then put it on spin to get rid of the water.
    Help!!
    Thanks,
    Lina

I have checked the water hoses as well, and cleared out the water filters for the hot and cold water, and still have this same problem. The washer is about 1.5 years old, this shouldn't be happening with such a new appliance.

    Any help is welcome, thanks.

I have the same issue, except it seems to only happen when we do bulky loads of laundry. Did anyone find a solution to this?

Purchased the same washer from Sears in November 09 and was quite happy until two months later when I began noticing water under the door. It seemed to leak out the door and down the front. (Noticed small discoloration down the fron of washer) I called Sears and they had three repair men, three different parts and four visits in 2 1/2 months and could not get the correct part or fix. Sears was great and replaced the washer it in March and here I am in April seeing the same problem!

I seems to be worse with heavier loads. I do not overstuff or ask anything "special" from my washer.

    Any ideas?!

I also had water leaking from under the washer during rinse cycle only. I tilted the washer back far enough to get under it and found that the drain hose, part # 4738ER1002 had been punctured by my wifes bra underwire. Super easy to replace and the part is only about $18.00 on ebay.

I have the same problem - just a small amount of water leaking out from under the machine. I removed the top cover and found one of the water lines rubs on the vent tube and has wore completely through. Should be an easy fix, as the line runs from the #2 spigot on the water inlet to the detergent box - both connections are right on top.

I just ran food coloring with no clothes, to pin-point the leak. Check all cycles of wash, if tray/floor has no food coloring, it's a presser line. If it does..then it maybe a front gasket, drain line or internal line. LG Tromm has to screws facing front to back. Remove them bboth and take the top of and watch operations from above, to see where the leak is coming from. Good luck.

Wow, the same exact thing happened to me. Part # 4738ER1002 was punctured by a bra underwire. I noticed water leaking beneath the machine (WM3001HRA) and found the rusted wire sticking out of the black rubber drain (said part #) beneath the machine. (Easily seen by removing the back cover of the washer and inspecting it with a flashlight.)

UPDATE: The part is now only ~ $15.00 on ebay. I tested the black drain hose with water separate from the machine and found another puncture on the underside of the hose! Just a heads up, if you plan on fixing the leak while the new part arrives, you might want to check for additional holes!

Is the drain line clear? Also sounds like time on water inlet is running to long. Front loaders don't use that much water.

I'm guessing it has a float switch that shuts the water off when its full, and if it were bad it would not stop filling. Until the float switch tells the valve to close its also is not going to tell the pump to come on.

it sounds like your bearings are gone the leak could be the seal when the bearings go the seal split and that's why you have a leak the knocking is the broken bearings the next step will be black grease coming in the machine on your clothes so you might want to in vest in a new machine be for it cost you a lot more hope i have helped you

I have an LG Tromm washer. I start it up it start

Hi,

LE code stands for locked motor error. When this error code appears in your front load washer it indicates a fault in the motor unit.

1 . Check the connections to the Coil/Stator at the rear of the unit possibly it should be something like a broken wire.

2 . Coil/Stator Assembly will be defective preventing the drive to operate. You should go for a replacement of that assembly.

Thank you !!

LG Tromm Washer

Wash empry with detergent and double bleach with extra hot water. When cycle is complete open the door to the washer and let airdry. When you close the door with it wet it becomes a breeding ground for bacteria. You may also not be using the correct detergent or the correct amount of detergent.
