I have the same problem as mentioned above. I have a digital cable box with Hi Def on it from Cox Cable, aswell as a Panasonic Surround Sound. All of them have their power sources connected to a surge protector and from their to the wall outlet. Please let me know if you need more information and if so what kind of information. Thanks

I have the same problem, and I have already disconected everything and just live the tv pluged to the wall. It works for for 30-45 min and start doing the same, when I turn it off and then on again it works fine for another 30 min and then it start all over.

Have a Samsung ps42p4h1 with exactly the same issue - source does not seem to be a factor as have tried a number of connection types/sources. Interference starts after around 40mins, but can be unpredictable, on most occasions a power on/off will resolve the problem. Can you help to isolate which part needs replacing?

I had the same problem with the TV going off and on, then I heard a loud popping noise and called in the priest to read the last rites.

My frigde is beeping consecutively and wont stop and the temperature wont show it just doesnt work ever since the electricity flickered this morning like five times

Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly.
Unplug it and wait 20 - 30 minutes. The compresor needs 10 to 15 minuts of off time to re-start. Power losses of less than 5 minutes will cause the compressor thermal overload to cycle repeatedly until something fails or in the case of non-electronic control defrost timers... the next defrost cycle. What happens is the coolant pressures are so high that the compressor can not start. Let it stabilize for 20 - 30 minutes by unplugging it and try it again. If that does NOT work respond here and we will help you.

This is what caused your problem: ever since the electricity flickered this morning like five times

During gameplay myscreen for ps3 flickers different colors then cuts out..comes back on in five seconds than repeats until I trun the system off and restart.???? wtf??!?!?!

This is due the the cable lead you are using. try and unplug the cable at both ends and blow out and built up dust. If that fails you will need to replace the AV / HD-MI lead you are using.
Also try using a different T.V

Samsung hp-t4254 plasma

Hi Rickpo:
After installing the $11 kit and the additional $13 kit recommended by ( mostly surface mount diodes (also available on Ebay), the Samsung HP-T4254 came back on, but would only play for 4 minutes. I found DX801 flowing both directions, replaced it with a diode from Fry's. Works great, $26 total repair costs :-)

Samsung DLP Flickering

If you're certain the lamp is good, it's probably the ballast. The ballast has enough juice to power the lamp, but it's unable to maintain a steady consistent level of power, hence the lamp flickering. Changing the lamp may temporarily resolve it because a new lamp is more easily maintained than an older one, but if the ballast is failing, the problem will recur and probably shorten the life of the lamp. The ballasts cost around $70-80. Replacing it can be done by the electronically adept end user, or you may need a service tech. The problem with a service tech is that some may not acknowledge that the problem is the ballast especially if the intermittent flicker is not happening while he/she is examining it.
