Question about HP Officejet 5610 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Colors printing with white lines

Changed blue cartridge.
Problem: do not see blue ink on paper, pink printing with white lines; sample color page (with alph & color swatches) print with lines in between each so there are no true green, orange, etc == no solid color

I have: insured each cartridge is pushed into sockets; realigned print heads; turned printer off & disconnected power cord to printer

Help! I have the L7650 officejet all in one and it started doing the same thing. I changed the print cartridge again and it did not work. Contacted HP and after one month and numerous techs not helping, they sent me a different printer because they said it was a hardware problem. When I set up the replacement printer, it still does not print blues or greens.

    11-2-08 pm, I have the printer connected to 2 computers in the same room. One is running XP and the other is Windows Vista. I have the printing problem on both computers. I checked the drivers listed on each computer and they are totally different as I had to download the correct ones that would run on Windows Vista. I followed each and every step that the HP techs told me to do, I ran the diagnostic for the printer heads and it said they were good, but "monitor" the magenta and cyan.

If this is a replacement printer and still have the same problem so its not a problem with the printer may I ask since this is a replacement printer did you still use the same cartridges that was use on your old printer? if yes try to do a cleaning use the utility of your printer that is installed to your computer...

Mostly the company is right it is the hardware problem.if under warranty get it replaced.
or it could also happen because the ink in the cartridges get over.replacing the cartridges could help.
but if the cartridges are new its definately the hardware problem.

Possibly a problem with the drivers on your computer, if you copy directly on the all in one, does it come out correctly? If it comes out correctly then its a issue with your computer.

If it doesn't copy directly from the scanner and print correctly then it must be a hardware problem or a problem with the cartridges / print heads.

Have you tried redownloading your printer drivers from the hp website or off of the installation disk?

If not try it, is so, let me know and we will go from there

    alright, do you have extra print cartridges, if so, try those, otherwise give the ones you have a good shake to help get the ink to the bottom and also make sure the contacts are clean and then apply a kleenex to the bottom of the cartridges gently to make sure ink is coming out, and then let me know the results

I have been printing photos and they have come out beautiful. Suddenly the colors are all muted, and brown hair has a green tint. My printer is an HP 6180. Nothing has changed - same paper, ink...


It sounds like one of the colors is not printing correctly. I would suggest , opening your hp solutions center programs and under tools you will find an option to clean the print heads. Follow the procedure to cleans the print heads, after cleaning open control panel on the computer and depending on the operating system click on "printers" (XP) or "devices and printers"(vista win7) right click on your printer( hit your right mouse button) select " printer properties" click on print test page. This page will print out showing each of the colors separately. You should see black, blue, pink and yellow. If one of these colors is missing or muted you will now which color is cratinging the issue. And at that time I would try changing the corresponding ink cartridge. Hopefully the print head cleaning will resolve your issue

The MX860 is making all color copies and printed pages pink. Any thoughts? It has plenty of ink in other colors.


Hello ! Here is your solution.
Your ink i.e. Cyan & yellow were malfunctioned so remove your cartridge and rub its head with soft paper until your two colors stain on your paper.... thanks

  1. First, check your cartridges. HP cannot guarantee the quality of remanufactured or refilled cartridges.
  2. Second, make sure your paper is not causing the problem. Paper that does not accept ink well can cause your images to smear or bleed. Plain paper is not the best choice for high-density graphics. Click here to see how to pick the best paper for your project .
  3. If the paper is not the problem and you are using genuine HP cartridges, print a clean test to see if the printer and cartridges are functioning properly. Load the printer with clean, plain, white paper and print a clean test page. To see how to print a clean test page, see your printer's User's Guide , or see HP Deskjet Printers - How To Print Internal Tests , or HP All-in-One Product Family - Printing Self-Test Reports .

Printer is printing wrong colors


Make sure it's the right ink cartridge for that model printer.
Check if any of the colors is out
Try running a calibration on the printer to make sure heads are lined up properly.

Printing not complete


you may check your ink cartridge
1) the cartridge some color almost empty, need to change a new one or refill the match color ink. test it and go next if not fixed
2) long time less using cause some color ink chanel(holes) dryer, you may take out the color ink cartridge and put it's surface of bottom (just touch ) in the clean water 1 Hr, then set back and test it. still not fixed, you also need to do same thing if your print head is separated from your ink cartridge

Some paper tints can cause problems with color images, so make sure that you're using plain white paper, not another color such as beige, yellow, or blue. Even an off-white shade can affect your colors.

In addition, paper type can slightly influence your ink color. Highly absorbent papers can draw in the ink so quickly that the printed image may seem dull or a little washed out. If this is the case, try a coated paper that is specifically intended for color printing. If you're printing those important family vacation photos, use a good-quality glossy paper.

If your colors are way off, you may be running out of one or more ink colors. For example, blue and yellow are mixed to make green, so if your grass seems blue rather than green, you may be running out of yellow. Check your ink cartridges and replace any that are low or exhausted.
