Not MSCONFIG, press CTRL+ALT+DEl and check what are the application running under Application tab and Pocesses tab, if its not there this can be a malware or virus that is causing this you may need to download and run this a good anti Malware its Malwarebytes...

How to unlock screen for vista


Click Start, type msconfig in the Search field and press . After you click through the UAC prompt, a system configuration window will open. Select the Boot tab.
In the Boot tab, check the box marked No GUI boot. Click Apply and click OK. Windows will prompt you to restart the PC so click Restart.

Windows xp not working properly


Hi , Appko check karna hoga ki koi third party services run kar rahi hai ya nahi , Agar haa to use disable kijiye, Following are the steps :
Start
run
msconfig
services
check hide all microsoft services
and the clicked on disable all
Click on apply and then ok
Restart the computer
Post reply for more steps to optimize computer

Hi,
You will have to go back into msconfig and recheck all the boxes again that you unchecked, restart the PC and use msconfig to uncheck 1 process at a time, then you will know what processes was killed.

Hi Marked; I know I know what the difference betwen MSCONFIG and Task manager I fixed the problem and killd the virus. after that I got this msg. if you can pleas.


OK sorry about that but what I'm saying is since your computer was infected by a virus there's also a possibility that its infected by spyware and malware that's why I advice you to use malwarebytes because its a good software and really help alot in removing spyware and malware that can cause this type of problem....there';s no harm in giving that solution a shot right since we're trying to fix this problem...

Corrupted msconfig


click on start
select Run
type MSCONFIG press enter
click on startup tab and repair it by removing the check marks on the items u don't want to be started automatically
NB: make sure you know exactly what ur doing it can be messy there.
