ONDA VX858LE Will not turn on. Before it stopped turning on, the touch screen was messed up. For example you would press music and it would go to explorer.

Hi. I have a 767 (Onda not Boeing :-) ) Mine has crashed like this a few times. Once the power drains to empty you should be able to start it after a charge. Sometimes pressing a pin through the reset hole will work, sometimes not.

You should restore completely, but just note that this will wipe all of the data on the phone.

Turn the iPhone off by holding the button on the top and sliding the red bar to shut down the iPhone.

Now go into iTunes on your computer,

While holding down the iPhone circle button, plug the iPhone into the cable connected to your USB port.

Continue holding down the iphone button until the computer in itunes tells you that it has discovered an iPhone in recovery mode. From there, you can just click on the restore button. It will download the latest firmware for your iPhone (your iPod) and will apply it as well as perform a factory reset. Once this is finished, the iPod has been factory restored just like when it was new.


No matter what anyone says, the problem will eventually force you to do a restore anyway. There might be a few temporary patchups but when you start seeing panics on the system apps especially, there is something off. Restore and your set! Good luck!!

Problem with V. 811 Onda Tablet
hi Akram.
this is all i could find out.
When the tablet is turned off, keep home button pressed.
Now turn on tablet while still holding the home button.
When white android figure appears, release both buttons.
You will get into recovery mode, you can select "restore factory settings" there.
Download the right firmware here: ONDA

Extract the content to the root of your sd card (since you cannot use your tablet, i suggest using a cardreader + pc or another tablet? or try to hook your tablet to the pc and hope it recognizes it)

There should be 5-6 files now on your SD card.

Turn on tablet while holding home button, untill white android figure appears then release.
It should update your firmware now...
or you could try this link on how to do a hard reset.
but do so at your own risk.

Hey I have a Vi30W onda tablet but when I try to turn it on it stuck with the android logo and I dont know how to actually turn it on.
it sounds like you're at the emergency recovery screen, volume down to see the first menu, select option 1 reboot device, do not select anything else.

My ipod touch has a dark screen and doesn't show anything. no light at all as if it is turned off. but i can listen to music for example. it's working but there is no light.
  1. Turn iPod touch off and turn it on again.
  2. If the issue persists, try to reset the iPod touch while it is connected to power. To reset, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until either the Apple logo or battery symbol appears. If the battery symbol appears, continue to charge the device until it is fully charged.
  3. If that does not fix it. Connect to computer. Open Itunes and make sure you have the latest update.

The touch screen on Garmin Nuvi 660 is not working at all. It turns on, but when I touch the screeen, nothing happens. Could it be the battery. It was low, so I charged it for 45minutes, then the gps screen dimmed and turned off after just 10-15 minutes of "messing with it"

LG viewty Touchscreen problems
I have the same problem. But i had solved it. I use a lighter to burn on my viewty's touch screen, and it is working properly again within 30 secs. And ofcourse, do not burn the touch screen without a screen protector. Hope this solution would help.

OK, so you plugged the car charger for the FM transmitter into your Onda player headphone jack perhaps? Yeah, that could cause problems. On the one hand, this player needs to be replaced. You can e-mail Onda by going to the crappy US version of the website - they seem small and they seem like custom-builders. On the other hand, they may have an inferior web page because there are no US contacts at all - they may all be Chinese. Most products have a warranty, but even better, most stores have a return policy. A US-based repair service would cost a minimum of $279.00, and that is assuming that they would be able to fix it (which they probably can't).

If you have already tried a reset suggested by the manual, and there is no "recovery" method listed in the manual (which would just be a version of what I gave you before, except they may suggest a button other than volume +), then I would go ahead and return it - sorry.
