Question about Mitsubishi WD-52525 52" Rear Projection HDTV
II am trying to troubleshoot my 52". 90 secinds after I turn it on the "Lamp" LED comes on and glows red. Ihave replaced the lamp but the same thing happens. Unit is out of warranty so I would like to repair it myself as an edcational project. Any suggestions? I have user manual and service manual but they are not very explicit beyound the basics.
If you get a pix in the screen and then it goes away I will check the fans and make sure they are running ,it should have at least 2 and one of them should be cooling the lamp,if you never get a picture and the led glows after 90 seconds you might have a ballast problem, the ballast is the board that powers the lamp and it receives voltage from the power supply to strike the lamp.Be careful when working in the back.
