Question about Whirlpool GR465LXLS Electric Kitchen Range
I have this problem with my ceramic top electric range there isn't any heat coming from the bottom of the stove when in bake mode. the top element heats up fine. I believe there is a hidden bottom element as the oven is self cleaning. There are no replaceable fuses on the top flip top panel. There are 2 tiny reset buttons under the florescent bulb , but they appear to be normal. removing the back cover shield doesn't show any fuses either with no access to a bottom element. Any help on this topic would be appreciated
Hi I have a whirlpool gold range mdl GJSP 84902 and had replaced the bottom hidden element after finding out it wasn't getting any heat. So replacement took a little figuring out. it ws easy after a removal of screws and pulling out the whole oven casing out fron the front. Anyhow I still don't get enough heat generate from the bottom element, what other cause are there. checked fuses wiring all is connected HELP ME PLEASE !!!!! thank you Paul

For the catalog parts : http://www.whirlpoolparts.ca/parts/fspShow.php?model=GLP84900&folder=&
From what I can see in the catalog, the bottom element is under the stove. Is it repleacable by the front or the rear ??? My sister in law has a similar problem : it heats but at a far lower dergree than asked. That is why I am doing some research.
Always unplug before working inside !!! If you can telle me how to replace it, I would appreciate.

I have the same problem only with a GJP85802 model. Please dont tell me this means a new stove.
I also have a GJP85802 where the hidden bake element is not heating. Can anyone tell me with certainty that maybe it's the element that's burnt?
Also to change the element I would put the stove on its face after removing the pull out tray and remove the bottom to get at the element.......MDS
The access for the lower oven element is on the side of the stove. It is a little awkward to access, but pretty easy to do. You don't need to put the stove face down to do it, just leave it in it's normal position and remove the right (as you face the stove) panel and replace.
Don't forget to disconnect the stove from the power source before doing this job!!!
