Code 22 is short protect. Recheck your work. Did you check and replace open fuses and/or Convergence IC's. The Conv. IC's normally open at least one fuse when they go out.

My Mitsubishi Medallion tv stays on for about 10 minutes and then shuts down and won't turn back on until a period of time has passed. It is a rear projection tv about 9 years old. Can anyone help ex

When it shuts off and the green power light goes off, press both the menu and input buttons on the front of the set (not the remote) and hold both for about five seconds and release.

Power light will blink a two digit error code like 2 blinks and then 3 blinks and repeat it several times.

What is the error code?

Model WS55819, shut off and won't turn back on. The first few times I tried to turn it on, the indicator light came on and went off after a few seconds. Now there is nothing. I removed the panel from the...

Hi,
Most common problem in WS-55819 is failure of convergence output chips and blown pico fuses in power supply section.
You need to read out error code in tv, procedure is as follows:
Pressing the front panel "INPUT" and "MENU" buttons at the same time, and holding for 5 seconds,
activates the Error Code Mode. The LED flashes denoting a two digit Error Code, or indicating no problem has occurred since the last Initialization.
Note: The front panel buttons must used, NOT those on the Remote Control.
• The number of flashes indicates the value of the MSD (tens digit) of the Error Code.
• The flashing then pauses for approximately 1/2 second.
• The LED then flashes indicating the value of the LSD (ones digit) of the Error Code.
• The Error Code is repeated a total of 5 times.
Example: If the Error Code is "24", the LED will flash two times, pause, and then flash four
times.
Error codes detail:
The Error Code designations indicating a malfunction, or no malfunction, are listed below:
"12" ... indicates no error has occurred.
"21" ... X-Ray Protect circuit.
"22" ... Short Protect circuit.
"23" ... Horizontal Deflection failure.
"24" ... Vertical Deflection failure.
This way you can determine what section got problem in tv and causing problem.
Let me know if you need further info.
Thanks.

WS-55819 TV, about 8 years old, stopped working. No picture, just black. When trying to turn on, power light appears for a couple seconds, then turns off. No other indications of life. My kids...

DO THE SELF CHECK YOUR SET HAS:

When you turn it on and power light goes off in a few seconds;

On the front of the set push and hold both the Menu and Input (Device) buttons for at least 5 seconds and release both.

Power light will then blink a two digit code, most common is 2 blinks, a pause and 2 blinks--it will repeat the code at least 5 times.

Let me know what code you find and I will tell you what it means and maybe what is wrong with your tv.

I hope you find 2,2, as that is the most easy to fix.

If this helped you rate this solution as I do this here for free.

Inputs randomly stop registering, screen goes blank

Code 12 indicates no error. Push the Menu and Device buttons after the TV has shut off to get the proper code, not after you unplug and plug it back.

It seems your set is not Mitsubishi WS-55819 so it will help if you can give the exact model.

Mitsubishi ws-55819

Code 22 indicates that your set is in shut down due to what is called Short Protect. The most likely cause is the Converge Ic's drawing too much current and opening one or 2 fuses. Normal repair cost varies by area and servicer. Expect 250 to 350 plus the service call. I normally do this on site.

LED Blinking

Okay 2 blinks isnt a error code, so your set isnt shutting down due to a protection issue, so I would suspect one of the low voltage regulator transistors or the horizontal output transistor as being defective
