Hook an external keyboard to the laptop, if okay! replace the laptop keyboard. If no change check bios setting to make sure the laptop is not disabled, and reset bios to factory default.

SOURCE: Acer 5100 keyboard issue

Dear friend.. the same happened to a customer's laptop.
I suggest you do the following:
First, try to scan your harddrive for viruses in another computer (you can buy a cheap 2.5" USB enclosure for your drive and use it as an USB drive). Once you do that, clean from viruses.
Next step is reinstall the disk and boot the machie again.
If it's a virus problem -as it happened to me- the BIOS block itself and nothing responds, so, you'll have to cheat BIOS.
Plug a flashdrive (any kind) and wait to windows recognizes and installs it. Once it's done unplug it and plug a USB keyboard and/or mouse and wait. Once you have control power off the system normally (THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT TO UNBLOCK THE BIOS).
Next time you power on your computer, keyboard and mouse should work great.
Hope it helps.
Greetings, Pablo.

PD: One advice... you will probably have to reinstall windows. And finally try linux... this won't happen with it.

SOURCE: Acer Aspire 5100 Notebook

Try booting your computer from CD ROM with the OS CD/DVD already inserted and when prompted just try repair. If that does not work re-install the same on the same 'partition' assuming it to be C by deleting the the windows system files only. While doing so keep the internet on and immediately after the basic version of the OS is installed and the m/c boots-up for the first time, go to the official website and download the latest drivers for every component like toch-pad, keypad, display, audio, etc.(i.e. almost all the drivers)

I think you have disabled them.
There should be a key to enable mouse and keypad.

Why won't my wireless mouse and keyboard work with my Acer Aspire ZS600 All-In-One PC?

Well, to get started I would need to know what operating system your using. For all of your USB ports to stop working, Something has corrupted your device manager or has re-configured your startup. If your using Windows, start in safe mode and try system re-store to a date when the system was stable.

My acer 15.6inch the cursor is frozen wont move

Hello,

Which mouse are you using? Is it the integrated mouse or the USB mouse?

If you are using the USB mouse, then try checking if it's plugged in correctly.

If it's your integrated mouse, then restart the computer and when it's up. Try moving your mouse. Restarting it usually does the trick.

If restarting it won't fix the problem, then restart and boot to safe mode. While restarting, tap F8 until you see the options to boot to safe mode. Highlight safe mode by using the arrow keys and hit enter. When you are in safe mode, try moving your mouse. Works or not - update the mouse driver. You can use RadarSync. If no go, then you might need to do a system restore. If worse comes worst, do a complete operating system reinstallation.

I hope this helps!

Please help me. Acer hung up on me and wanted $70 to walk me through an error there computer bestowed upon me. We bought this 3 months ago for Habitat for Humanity. I am an intern here and we are...

Assuming the keyboard and mouse are wired/usb type, I would unplug them both, then restart the machine. Wait for windows to completely load, then plug them back in (preferably into different usb ports) then wait 60 seconds... That should resolve your issue.

How can I unlock the keyboard and mouse on a acer aspire 300

Try starting the computer in safe mode by pressing the F8 key repeatedly on boot. The start up menu will appear. Chosse safe mode and run an antivirus and antispyware program in safe mode. Your system is freezing and that is why your keyboard is not working. You should find that the keyboard and mouse will work properly while you are in safe mode. I suspect that something is stealing your available resources when you start in regular mode.

PROBLEMS WITH STARTING IN NORMAL MODE AM LEFT WITH A BLACK SCREEN

You most likely have a problem with your hard disk. It's possible a virus did some damage, or a power surge interrupted it while it was writing to a critical file. You can try connecting a mouse to one of your USB ports and booting into safe mode to do a virus scan but most likely you will save time and trouble by simply re-installing your operating system and reloading all of your software.

Locked keyboard and mousepad on acer aspire 6920G

Almost same problem: the mouse froze.

Found a nice solution at another website: switch off the pc, unplug the power supply cable AND remove battery. Press "on" switch for 20 seconds. Now re-install battery, plug back power supply cable, and switch on. Worked for me (what exactly worked for me I don't know but hey)

Good luck.
