Question about Kenmore 25614 / 25615 Progressive Bagged Canister Vacuum
Won't turn off, took hose off and still runs without shut off switch on hose???
The "vacuum won't shut off" problem is caused by a faulty triac (electronic component) on the P.C.B. assembly. You have two choices, depending on your handiness:
You can sometimes find the PCB from a 3rd-party supplier. For example, this one on EBay: Mel-Co KC86WBZRZ000

What is the "PCB assembly"?

That did the trick! 6 bucks for the part + S&H. Thanks!!!

Almost certainly a blown triac on the circuit board in the canister - kenmore part number KC86WBZRZ000
Looks like a common fault with this particular model judging by the number of complaints on the web.
