My dremel tool won't release the bit

I usually just tap it gently with a piece of wood directly on the end of the bit. This will usually loosen it up. This also works with a router.

My motor was turning but the flex shaft wouldn't. I took the flex shaft loose and spun it inside. Works fine now.

dremel have a collet adaptor available to allow interchange of bits. They are available from dremel or hardware stores.

find the little square attachment and place on the end of the dremel tool. I didid the same thing. Worked fine after I put the other part on.

The button is only to keep the shaft from turning while you loosen the collet (the nut) with the little wrench. THEN the tool comes out.

There was a tool that came with the dremel, if you don't have it see Home Depot for a replacement.

you might think im crazy but I just did this and it works so far anyway, I cut open my charger for my dremel 7300 model ,my green charging light stop working aswell , I felt naked without my dremel, so after the fourth day I cut it open and tinkered with it, I unwrapped some of that blue tape that\'s covering the copper spool , forgive my terms I don\'t know the correct name anyway I found a lil clear device connecting two silver wires, I twisted them together by grabbing the clear thing and twist until wires are connected put back together , put a batt in and green light came on and is charging, my charger looks like frankenstien but it works, how long will it last NO IDEA but if it stops ill post it, if you try this I hope it works, I should have videoed myself maybe nextime

I will send you to the dremel website where you can watch a video on the dremel model 1100 and it will explain how to use it and change bits,cutters,ect.
Do change your bit without going to the website push down on the large button on top to lock the tool, and then you wil loosen the bit holder bu turning it anticlockwise to loosen the grip on the tool you have in the bit holder.

It's the brushes. Easy fix. Just pick them up from Sears.

IF you don't release the bit lock, it won't run.
