Error E030

Checks: step 1 - Is the wiring from the total counter to the connector J119 on the DC controller PCB normal? step 2 - Replace the total copy counter. Is the problem corrected? step 3 - If the above does not work - Replace the DC controller PCB.

E245 for ir1630

E-245 is for the defective counter pcb. the board is a small one on the main controller that keeps track of the amount of copies the machine has made. this code is normaly seen when someone changes the main board and forgets to switch the counter pcb. it is possible that there is a loose screw on the board.

MY CANON PHOTOCOPIER SHOW EO30

E030 (The total copy counter fails to operate.)
1)Turn OFF the power, and remove

J104B from the DC controller
PCB. Set the tester range to
x1KW, and measure the
resistance between J104B-2 and
J104B-1. Is it about 500W? NO
Check the wiring from
the DC controller PCB to
the total copy counter; if
normal, replace the total
copy counter.

2)Connect J104B to the DC
controller PCB, and turn ON the
power. Set the tester range to 30
VDC. Does the voltage between
104B-2 (+) and J104A-6 (–) on the
DC controller change from about
24 to about 0 and then to about
24 V when the Copy Start key is
pressed? YES =replace the totalcopy counter.
NO =Replace the DCcontroller PCB

Control card for our minolta ep2030 was shorted out

You will most likely have to by a new key counter or copy controler. Try to find a used one on e-bay. If you just want the copier to work again. In the cut wires with Minolta two of the wires need to be jumed to close the circuit, so the counter will not lock the copier up. You will have to guess, I don't know what color wires were used? Jump two and see if the copier gets released.

An error in NP 6050

E030 Does pertain to the total copy counter. If you have changed the dc controller & copy counter & still get the E030 error, you may have to enter the service mode to release the error. In service mode under *4* (function) advance to the error screen & press the star button. If you do not know how to get into service mode you can email me at bspier@carlsonsupplies.com or call Bill @ 315-701-1279 Please put canon 6050 E030 in subject line in case my email dumps it into the junk folder.
