Question about HP Office Equipment & Supplies

1 Answer

I have a HPPSC1400 AllinOne series printer - it keeps printing out the test page every time I switch it on at the machine itself (it is always switched on at the wall) and this wastes colour cartridge because the test page has colour in it. How do I stop it doing this?

Is it asking to ALIGN CARTRIDGES?

If so, you have to replace both cartridges with new ones.

HOW LONG DOES THE INK CARTRIDGES LAST CAUSE, I ONLY PRINT AROUND 20 BLACK COPIES AND MAYBE 7 COLOR AND NOW IT DOES NOT PRINT, I ORDERED THIS PRINTER LAST 8/31/2010

Hi!

I know that if you switch your machine on and off often it uses a lot of ink as it needs to do checks and make sure that the ink is okay and that the purge unit sucks ink okay!I am sure that you should get much more pages out of your cartridges for sure!!Try and keep your printer on and not print one page now and then ten minutes later another one, print as much pages as you can at a time!!Hope it helps!!!!

Cheers!!

My printer keeps printing the test page every time it's switched on. I have C3180 all in one printer.

That is a "configuration-option" -- navigate through the controls on the printer itself to disable that option; or, just leave the printer on -- it will go to "power-save" mode after a few minutes of non-usage.

Alignment page prints every time printer is turned on. HP1315 on Windows Vista Home Premium.

Take the test page ( also called : alighnment page ) that always prints when you switch on the printer and place it face down in the scanner.

Then press the scan button on the printer itself.
(this is the button at the bottom of all the buttons on the printer/scanner.)

Make sure that the printer scans the test page.
( sometimes you press the butoon and it doesn't scan )
( it makes a scanning noise when scanning succesfully )

Then it will stop printing the test page ( alignment page ) ever again.

Test printing

If you've recently changed your cartridges, the printer will try to print a test/alignment page. Note the instructions on the test page indicate what to do to complete the testing/alignment procedure.

1) Let it print.
2) Place the test page upside down on the scan plate.
3) Hit "Scan" and let it finish.

When the machine completes the scanning procedure, you'll be able to switch the printer on and off or reboot your computer without it printing the test page. By Dubbya

Test Page Problem

Hey there ppl.
I had the same problem every time i turned on my hp psc 1510 all-in-one. I found the solution to the problem on hp's homepage. Here is the link:

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01336348&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&lang=en&product=428800

its quite easy! but if it does not work the first time i would try again before having it repaired og changing the ink.

good luck to you all

This is a really stupid product feature on HP's part to waste ink and force people to buy more cartriges.
