Question about Aprilaire 700 Humidifier
Hi dbuelke! I am having the same problem you posted earlier and fixed. When you mention checking continuity on the H terminals, was this with voltage to the unit (R/C terminals) supplied or without? My unit worked fine for 3 years, and this winter is not operating. R/C has 24 volts and the green light blinks normally when in test, but no voltage shows on the H terminal when in test or when operating. Do you know if this should be 24 volts when the unit is placed in test or some other value?
I can't exactly recall--once I fixed it, I erased it from my memory! However, you need to have power off to check continuity; at least on my meters I'll blow its little internal fuse if there is any voltage. As I recall, one of the main indicators for switch failure was that the switch failed to click/engage. Hope this helps. I was able to contact their tech services to get advice.
